The 2021 Topps Heritage Baseball Checklist
The 2021 Topps Heritage baseball checklist is now available! This year’s set features a mix ofVeteran stars, rookies, and prospects on cards that pay tribute to the classic 1971 Topps design. The base set includes 500 cards, with short prints (SP), inserts, autographs, and relic cards also available.
Topps Heritage Baseball Checklist: The 2021 Season
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic shortening the 2020 MLB season baseball fans can still look forward to the 2021 season. And with the 2021 season comes the release of Topps Heritage Baseball.
Topps Heritage Baseball is a nostalgic throwback to the classic Topps baseball cards of yesteryear. The set features current MLB stars on cards designed to look like their counterparts from a specific year in baseball history For example, Jose Altuve’s 2021 card will be designed to look like Willie Mays’ 1954 Topps card
The 2021 Topps Heritage Baseball Set will feature 400 cards in total, including 350 base cards and 50 short-printed “high numbers.” The base set will be split evenly between veterans and rookies, with 175 vets and 175 rookies featured. As with past years, rookies will be designated by a Blue Ribbon on the front of their card, while vets will have a red ribbon.
The 50 short-printed high numbers will include veterans who were left out of the base set, as well as rookie call-ups who joined their team late in the season. These cards will be inserted one per Hobby Box (on average) and will be numbered 401-450.
In addition to the base set and high numbers, there are several other insert sets that collectors can look forward to chasing in 2021 Topps Heritage Baseball. These inserts include New Age Performers (1:4 packs), Then & Now (1:8 packs), Flashbacks (1:8 packs), Clubhouse Collection Relics (1:288 packs), News Flashbacks (1:24 packs), Action Features (1:12 packs), Famous Feats (1:24 packs), Fifty Years Later Autographs (1:288 packs – Hobby only) and Rookie Stars Autographs ( seeded 1 per case).
So mark your calendars for March 17, 2021 – that’s when 2021 Topps Heritage Baseball is scheduled to hit store shelves!
