The NFL playoffs are upon us and it’s time to find out what channel is the NFL playoffs on.
AFC Playoffs
The 2020 AFC playoffs will begin Saturday, Jan. 4. The divisional round will be Saturday, Jan. 11 and Sunday, Jan. 12. The AFC Championship Game will be Sunday, Jan. 19. The AFC playoffs will air on CBS and NBC.
Wild Card Round
The NFL playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the regular season to determine the NFL champion. Six teams from each of the league’s two conferences qualify for the playoffs. A tie-breaking procedure exists if required. The tournament culminates in the Super Bowl, played between the champions of the NFC and AFC.
The Wild Card Round is the opening round of the playoffs. The four division winners and two wild card teams from each conference play each other in this round. The division winners are seeded 1–4 based on their overall won-lost-tied record, with the top two seeds receiving byes into the Divisional Round. The two wild card teams are seeded 5 and 6.

Conference Championships
The National Football League (NFL) playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the regular season to determine the NFL champion. As of 2014, eleven teams from each of the league’s two conferences qualify for the playoffs; from this, each conference produces one champion that then plays in the Super Bowl, the league’s championship game. As of 2014, four teams from each conference qualify for divisional playoffs.
The tournament brackets are made up of six total teams: the four division winners and two “wild card” teams. The two division winners with the best records receive byes into the divisional round (i.e., they do not play any games in the first weekend of the playoffs). The remaining four teams are seeded according to their overall won-lost-tied record, with the top seed hosting the lowest remaining seed in their conference in the first round of playoff games, while the other two matchups pit higher seeds against lower seeds.
