The 2021 NFL Draft is finally here! Here’s everything you need to know including what time the draft starts, how to watch and more.
Thursday Night
The first round of the NFL Draft will begin at 8 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, April 25. The draft will be televised live on ESPN and the NFL Network.
8:00 PM EST
The 2020 NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 23 at 8:00 pm EST. It will be broadcast live on ESPN and NFL Network.
NFL Network
The NFL Network will televise the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night, with coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will also be available live online via the NFL’s website and its app.
Friday Night
The 2021 NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The first round will be televised on ESPN, NFL Network, and ABC. The second and third rounds will be televised on ESPN2, NFL Network, and ABC. The fourth through seventh rounds will be televised on ESPN, NFL Network, and ABC.
7:00 PM EST
The 2021 NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET and will conclude on Saturday, May 1. It will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, at the FirstEnergy Stadium.
This year’s draft will feature seven rounds and a total of 254 picks. The first round will be held on Thursday night, with rounds two and three taking place on Friday night. The remaining four rounds will be held on Saturday afternoon.
The Cincinnati Bengals hold the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, followed by the Denver Broncos (No. 2), Detroit Lions (No. 3), Carolina Panthers (No. 4), Atlanta Falcons (No. 5) and New York Jets (No. 6).
Some of the top prospects in this year’s draft include quarterbacks Trevor Lawrence (Clemson), Zach Wilson (BYU) and Justin Fields (Ohio State), as well as running backs Najee Harris (Alabama) and Javonte Williams (North Carolina).
ESPN
The NFL draft is set to begin on Thursday, April 25 at 8 p.m. ET.
ESPN will have complete coverage of the first round, with live updates and analysis throughout the night. Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay will be on hand to provide their expert insights, and ESPN NFL draft analyst Louis Riddick will join them in the studio for the first time.
Host Trey Wingo will be leading ESPN’s coverage from “”Draft Headquarters”” in Bristol, Connecticut, while Suzy Kolber, Chris Mortensen, Adam Schefter and Jill Arrington will report from various locations around the country. Kolber will interview prospects as they are selected in front of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Saturday
The National Football League Draft is an annual event in which the 32 teams that make up the league select eligible college football players and other young athletes to join their team. The draft is held over three days, with each team getting one pick per round. The first round of the draft is held on Thursday night, the second and third rounds are held on Friday night, and the fourth through seventh rounds are held on Saturday.
