Contents
The NFL season is well underway and there are plenty of surprises so far. Who’s winning and who’s losing? Let’s take a look.
The New England Patriots
The New England Patriots are on top of the NFL right now. They have a great quarterback in Tom Brady and a great head coach in Bill Belichick. The Patriots have won five Super Bowls since 2001 and they look like they could win a few more in the next few years.
Tom Brady
Tom Brady is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He is one of only two players in NFL history to have won five Super Bowls (the other being defensive end Charles Haley), and he is the only player to have won them all playing for one team. Brady has also been selected to 11 Pro Bowls, and has led his team to more division titles (17) than any other quarterback in NFL history.
Bill Belichick
Bill Belichick is an American football coach who is the head coach of the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He holds numerous coaching records, including winning a record six Super Bowls as the head coach of the Patriots, and two more as an assistant coach with the New York Giants. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest coaches in NFL history.
The Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers are currently in first place in the NFC North with a 6-2 record. The Packers have won four straight games and are looking like the team to beat in the NFC. Aaron Rodgers is playing at an MVP level and the defense is improved from last season. The Packers are in a great position to make a run at the Super Bowl.
Aaron Rodgers
In 2011, Rodgers led the Packers to a 15–1 record, earning him the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Year and MVP awards. He also was named Super Bowl MVP after leading the Packers to a 31–25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, becoming only the second quarterback in NFL history to achieve a perfect passer rating (158.3) in a single Super Bowl. Rodgers has led the Packers to four NFC North division championships (2011, 2012, 2014, 2016), one NFC championship (2010), and was voted to six Pro Bowls (2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017). He has set numerous franchise records, including most career passing yards (40,182), most career touchdown passes (297), most career passing touchdowns in a season (46 in 2016), most passing yards per game average for career (311.5) and career passer rating of 104.1; all of which rank him first in team history.

They are also the third-oldest franchise in the NFL, dating back to 1919. The team is named after Indian Packing Company, an initial sponsor of the team. The Packers are headquartered across the street from Lambeau Field, where they play their home games.
The Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently in first place in the NFL with a record of 10-2. They have won their last six games in a row and are looking like the team to beat in the playoffs. The Steelers have a strong defense and an offense that is led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Mike Tomlin
In his 13th season as the Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin has compiled a regular season record of 139-77-1, good for a .643 winning percentage that ranks sixth in NFL history among coaches with at least 100 regular season games coached. He is one of only six coaches in NFL history to win at least 100 games in his first 10 seasons as a head coach. Among active NFL head coaches, Tomlin’s .643 winning percentage ranks second only to New England’s Bill Belichick (.737).
The Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are currently leading the NFL with a record of 8-1. They are followed closely by the New England Patriots, who are 7-2. The Cowboys have been strong on both sides of the ball this season. Their offense is ranked 3rd in the league, while their defense is ranked 5th. They have a strong chance of making it to the playoffs this year.
