Who is Will Clark?

Will Clark was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1963. Clark was a highly touted recruit coming out of high school and ended up attending the University of Mississippi. He was a two-time All-American and helped lead Ole Miss to the 1982 Sugar Bowl. After college, Clark was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers with the second overall pick in the 1986 NFL Draft.

High school career

Will Clark was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Jesuit High School, where he played baseball and football. As a senior, he was named to the USA Today All-American team. He was also drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the first round of the1982 Major League Baseball Draft.

won numerous awards during his high school career, including being named Louisiana’s Mr. Football in 1981 and Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year in 1982. He was also selected as a Parade All-American running back and linebacker. As a senior, he rushed for 1,785 yards and 28 touchdowns on 182 carries (9.8 avg). He also caught four passes for 123 yards (30.8 avg) and two touchdowns

College career

Will Clark played college football for Mississippi State University. He was a four-year starter and earned All-American honors as a senior in 1988, when he helped lead the Bulldogs to an undefeated season and a #1 ranking in the nation.

Clark was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers with the 6th overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft. He played eight seasons for the 49ers, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors four times each. He was a member of the 1994 49ers team that won Super Bowl XXIX.

After his time with the 49ers, Clark played for the New Orleans Saints (1997-98), Dallas Cowboys (1999), and Baltimore Ravens (2000). He retired following the 2000 season.

NFL career

Clark was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 1986 NFL Draft. He played for the 49ers for fifteen seasons from 1986 to 2000. He was a member of the team that won Super Bowl XXIX in 1995. He then played for the New Orleans Saints for one season in 2001. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Draft

Will Clark was drafted second overall by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1986 NFL Draft. He played for the 49ers his entire career, from 1986 to 1998. During his time with the 49ers, he was selected to six Pro Bowls and was named first-team All-Pro three times. He won a Super Bowl with the 49ers in 1994.

Rookie season

The 49ers drafted Clark with the 6th overall pick in the 1986 NFL Draft, and he became one of the key figures in Bill Walsh’s “West Coast Offense”. In his rookie season, he started all 16 regular season games, catching 48 passes for 630 yards and 10 touchdowns, while also rushing for two touchdowns. He was named a NFC Pro Bowl selection and offensive Rookie of the Year by United Press International (UPI).

Later years

In his later years, Clark’s production began to decline. He battled injuries, most notably a chronic back problem. In 1997, he was again limited to eleven games. He had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee following the season, and also had surgery on his left wrist. Clark’s production slipped in 1998; he batted only .259 with 14 home runs and 61 RBIs in 108 games. The Giants released him after the season, making him a free agent.

After an eleven-year career in the NFL, Will Clark decided to retire. In his time in the NFL, Clark was a member of the New Orleans Saints, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Baltimore Ravens. He was also a Super Bowl Champion with the Ravens in 2013.

Clark’s return to the NFL

Will Clark, former San Francisco 49ers linebacker, is rumored to be making a return to the NFL. After taking a year off to spend time with his family and recharge, Clark is reportedly considering offers from several teams.

Although he hasn’t played in the NFL for a few years, Clark is still in great shape and has been working out regularly. His return to the NFL would be a welcomed sight for fans of the game.
