Reggie Bush’s NFL Career
Reggie Bush was drafted by the New Orleans Saints with the second overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at USC, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2005. Bush also won the Doak Walker and Walter Camp awards that same year. He was a member of the Saints from 2006 to 2010, and then played for the Miami Dolphins from 2011 to 2012. He also played for the Detroit Lions from 2013 to 2014.
Drafted by the New Orleans Saints
In the 2006 NFL Draft, Bush was drafted second overall by the New Orleans Saints. He became the first Saint since George Rogers in 1981 to be drafted with the second overall pick. Bush signed a four-year deal with the team worth $26.3 million, with $16 million in guarantees, on July 26, 2006.
Traded to the Miami Dolphins
In July 2008, the Saints traded Bush to the Miami Dolphins for a second-round draft pick in 2009 and a fourth-round draft pick in 2010.
