The Rams
The Los Angeles Rams are an American football team that plays in the National Football League (NFL). The Rams compete in the NFL’s West division. The Rams franchise was founded in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams in the short-lived second American Football League before joining the NFL the next year. The franchise moved to Los Angeles in 1946 after the 1945 NFL season. The team won three NFL championships, and is the only franchise to win championships while representing three different cities (Cleveland, Los Angeles, and St. Louis).
Team History
The Rams were founded in 1936 by Ohio businessman Homer Marshman. The franchise was originally based in Cleveland, but moved to Los Angeles in 1946. The Rams played their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum from 1946 to 1979, when they moved to Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim, California. In 1995, the Rams moved back to St. Louis, Missouri, where they remained until 2015. The team returned to Los Angeles prior to the 2016 season.
The Move to Los Angeles
In 2016, the Rams made the move from St. Louis to Los Angeles, becoming the first NFL team to call LA home in over 20 years. While there are many other pro sports teams in LA, the Rams’ return was a big deal for football fans. The team played their first season in LA in 2017, and they are currently in the process of building a new stadium in Inglewood.
The Chargers

The Chargers qualified for the AFL playoffs seven times and won one AFL Championship (1963). In the 43 years from 1960 through 2002, the Chargers compiled a record of 400-404-11, including an 0-8 record in eight playoff games.
The team’s primary colors are electric blue, powder blue and white. Their logo is a bolt between the words “LOS” and “ANGELES.” The team’s home uniform is white with blue trim; their road uniform is powder blue with white trim.
The Move to Los Angeles
The Chargers began as the Los Angeles Chargers of the AFL in 1960. The team then moved to San Diego in 1961, where they have been located ever since. In 2017, however, the team announced that they would be moving back to Los Angeles, making them the second NFL team to be located in the city (the other being the Rams).
The Raiders
The Raiders are a professional American football team based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The Raiders compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The Move to Las Vegas
In January 2020, the Raiders announced their move to Las Vegas, Nevada. The team will play its home games at Allegiant Stadium, which is currently under construction. With the move, the Raiders become the second NFL team to relocate to Las Vegas, after the Las Vegas Raiders (formerly the San Diego Chargers). The Raiders are currently scheduled to play their first game in Las Vegas during the 2020 season.
