Who’s Got Your Back in the NFL?
Contents
The National Football League is a tough, competitive place. So it’s important to have someone in your corner who has your back.
In this blog post, we’ll take a look at some of the NFL’s top players and the people who have their backs. From quarterbacks to running backs, we’ll see who’s got your back in the NFL.
Introduction
In the NFL, there is no such thing as a sure thing. Even the best teams and players can have an off day, which is why it’s so important to have someone you can rely on in a tough spot. Whether it’s a quarterback throwing to his go-to receiver in the clutch or a defensive back making a game-saving tackle, there are countless examples of players bailing out their teammates in the NFL.
But who do you want in your corner when the game is on the line? We asked NFL experts to weight in on which player they would want in their foxhole if the game was on the line.
The Good
Every NFL team has at least one player that they can rely on in the clutch. These are the players that come through when the game is on the line and make a difference. Here are some of the good ones.
The Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers have a good offensive line. They drafted three new starters this year and they have a good mix of veteran talent and young potential. The offensive line is the most important part of any football team, and the Panthers have a good one.
The New England Patriots
The Patriots have been a force to be reckoned with in the NFL for over a decade now. Led by head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, the Patriots have won six Super Bowls, including two in the last three years.
The Patriots are known for their “Do Your Job” mantra, which is a reflection of their team-first philosophy. Belichick is known for his demanding and disciplined coaching style, while Brady is the ultimate leader on the field. Together, they have created a winning culture in New England that has led to sustained success.
The Patriots are not just a good football team, they are a great organization from top to bottom. They have a well-run front office, a talented and deep roster, and a coaching staff that knows how to put their players in position to succeed.
If you are looking for a team to root for in the NFL, the New England Patriots are definitely worth considering.
The Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Steelers compete in the National Football League (NFL), as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) North division. Founded in 1933, the Steelers are the oldest franchise in the AFC.
In contrast with their status as perennial also-rans in the pre-merger NFL, where they were the oldest team never to win a league championship, the Steelers of the post-merger (1970) era are one of the most successful NFL franchises. Since the 1970 AFL–NFL merger, they have qualified for the playoffs 31 times, winning 28 of those appearances including eight AFC Championships and seven Super Bowl titles. The Steelers have played in more conference championship games (15) than any other NFL team, and hosted more conference championship games (11) than any other AFC team. They have played in 10 or more playoff games since 1975 and played in 8 straight from 2002-09(inclusive). They became only the second team to win six Super Bowl titles by winning Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009 with a 27–23 victory over Arizona Cardinals
The Bad
There are some bad organizations out there in the NFL. The Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, and New York Jets are three of the worst. These teams have terrible management, poor coaching, and little to no talent on their rosters. As a result, their fans suffer.
The Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals have been a bad team for a very long time. They haven’t had a winning season since 2015, and they haven’t made the playoffs since the 2016-2017 season. The Bengals have made some changes this offseason, but it’s hard to say if they’ll be enough to make them a good team again.
The Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions have not had a winning season since 1993, and have only made the playoffs twice in that time. They are currently on their second head coach in as many years, and have a new general manager. The team has been through a lot of changes in the past few years, but they have not been able to turn things around.
The Miami Dolphins
In 2017, the Miami Dolphins were the worst team in the NFL. They went 6-10 and had a negative point differential. They also had one of the worst defenses in the NFL, giving up 27 points per game.
The Dolphins have not made the playoffs since 2016, and their last win in a playoff game came in 2000.
The Ugly
In the NFL, there are a lot of ugly things that happen on and off the field. From players getting in legal trouble, to players being traded away because they don’t fit the new head coach’s scheme, there’s a lot that can happen that can cause turmoil for a team. In this article, we’re going to take a look at some of the ugly things that have happened in the NFL recently.
The Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are a professional American football team based in Chicago, Illinois. The Bears compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) North division. The Bears have won nine NFL Championships, including one Super Bowl, and hold the NFL record for the most enshrinees in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the most retired jersey numbers. The Bears have also recorded more victories than any other NFL franchise.
The Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division. The Browns play their home games at FirstEnergy Stadium, which opened in 1999, with administrative offices and training facilities in Berea, Ohio. The Browns’ official colors are brown, orange and white. They are unique among the 32 member franchises of the NFL in that they do not have a mascot, having abandoned Uncle Oscar the Brown Bear in 1969.
The franchise was founded in 1945 by businessman Arthur B. McBride and coach Paul Brown as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). The Browns dominated the AAFC, compiling a 47–4–3 record in the league’s four seasons and winning its championship in each of them. When the AAFC folded after the 1949 season, the Browns joined the National Football League along with three other AAFC teams; they were slotted into the AFC’s West division. From 1965 to 1995, they made the playoffs 14 times, but did not win another championship or appear in Super Bowls during that period. In 1995, owner Art Modell, who had purchased the Browns in 1961, announced plans to move the team to Baltimore; this prompted an extensive legal fight between Modell and then-Ohio Governor George Voinovich as well as city Mayor Michael R. White that ultimately resulted within settlement terms allowing Modell to establish the Baltimore Ravens franchise while retaining ownership of the Browns franchise’s history and archives as well as all team-related trademarks—Modell announced his decision to retain these key assets despite ostensibly having no higher bidder for them—which he sold back to Westlake-based trucking magnate Jimmy Haslam III upon his purchase of majority interest (80 percent) of this storied franchise on October 25 2012 for $1 billion., taking effect upon league approval on October 16, 2012 with Haslam assuming day-to-day control upon completion of sale on December 31, 2012; on that same date it was announced that Vice President Joe Banner would serve as CEO while General Manager Tom Heckert Jr. would depart from his role with former Philadelphia Eagles personnel chief Michael Lombardi succeeding him under Haslam’s ownership tenure while head coach Pat Shurmur would be fired following a disappointing 5–11 campaign amid tenure characterized by dismal fan support despite playing most home games before near-empty seats at Cleveland Browns Stadium during his two full seasons at helm
The New York Jets
The New York Jets are an American football team located in the New York metropolitan area. They compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team is headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey. In a unique arrangement for the league, the Jets share MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey with the New York Giants. The franchise is legally and corporately registered as New York Jets, LLC.
The team was founded in 1959 as the Titans of New York, an original member of the American Football League (AFL); later, the franchise joined the NFL in the AFL–NFL merger in 1970. The team began to play in 1960 at Harvard Stadium; world-renowned architect Eero Saarinen was hired to design MetLife Stadium, which was then known as Giants Stadium; and finally, the Jets moved into their current facility adjacent to MetLife Stadium in 1984. The team’s training facility, Atlantic Health Jets Training Center, which opened in 2008, is located in Florham Park.
