What Happens if Three or More Teams Tie?

If two or more teams are still tied after applying both of the above tiebreakers, then their conference records are compared. The team with the better conference record is awarded the higher playoff seed.

And finally, if two or more teams are still tied after all of the above tiebreakers have been applied, then a coin flip will be used to determine which team receives which playoff seed.
