Contents
With the 2019 NFL season coming to a close, let’s take a look at what teams are still in the running for the playoffs.
NFL Conference Championships
The NFL Conference Championships are upon us and there are only four teams left in the running for the Lombardi Trophy. In the AFC, we have the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs. In the NFC, we have the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints. These are the four best teams in the NFL this season and it should be a great weekend of football.
AFC Championship
The AFC Championship is the annual championship game of the American Football Conference (AFC) and one of the two semi-final playoff games of the National Football League (NFL), the largest professional American football league in the United States. The game is played on the penultimate Sunday in January and determines which team will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, each conferences’ championship game.
NFC Championship
The National Football Conference (NFC) Championship game is one of the two semi-final playoff games of the National Football League (NFL), the largest professional American football league in the United States. The game is played on the penultimate Sunday in January by the two remaining playoff teams, following the NFC postseason’s first two rounds. The victor of the NFC Championship receives the George Halas Trophy and goes on to face the winner of the American Football Conference (AFC) Championship Game in the Super Bowl.
NFL Divisional Playoffs
The NFL Divisional Playoffs are down to the final four teams. In the AFC, the New England Patriots will take on the Los Angeles Chargers. In the NFC, the Los Angeles Rams will face the New Orleans Saints. Who will win and move on to the Conference Championships?
AFC Divisional Playoffs
As we enter the AFC divisional playoffs, there are four teams remaining in the race to the Super Bowl. The top seeded New England Patriots will take on the Los Angeles Chargers, while the Kansas City Chiefs host the Indianapolis Colts.
The Patriots are looking to make their ninth consecutive appearance in the AFC Championship game, and their eleventh overall under Bill Belichick. They’ll have their work cut out for them against a Chargers team that pushed them to the limit in their Week 8 matchup, which New England won by just a touchdown.
The Chiefs lost to the Colts in Week 16, but they’ll have a chance to exact revenge on Saturday. With star quarterback Patrick Mahomes back healthy and leading the way, Kansas City will be a tough out for any team.
The divisional round is always one of the most exciting weekends of the NFL season, and this year should be no different. Be sure to catch all of the action this weekend on CBS!
NFC Divisional Playoffs
The NFC Divisional Playoffs are set to take place on Saturday, January 12 and Sunday, January 13. The four teams that will be playing are the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, and the Chicago Bears.
The Rams will be playing the Cowboys at 4:35 p.m. ET on Saturday at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Cowboys finished the regular season with a 10-6 record and were able to beat the Seattle Seahawks 24-22 in the Wild Card round. The Rams finished the regular season with a 13-3 record and had a first-round bye. This will be the third meeting between these two teams this season, with the Rams winning both previous games.
The Saints will be hosting the Bears at 8:10 p.m. ET on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Saints had a great regular season, finishing with a 13-3 record. They also had a first-round bye in the playoffs. The Bears were able to upset the Eagles 16-15 in the Wild Card round after Bears kicker Cody Parkey hit a field goal as time expired. This will be the first meeting between these two teams this season.
NFL Wild Card Playoffs
The National Football League (NFL) playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the end of the regular season to determine the champion. This year, the playoffs will begin on January 5, 2019 and end with the Super Bowl on February 3, 2019. There are four teams left in the playoffs: the Los Angeles Rams, the New Orleans Saints, the Chicago Bears, and the Dallas Cowboys.
AFC Wild Card Playoffs
The AFC Wild Card Playoffs are down to four teams: the Baltimore Ravens, the Buffalo Bills, the Houston Texans, and the Tennessee Titans. These teams will be fighting for a spot in the AFC Championship game. Who will come out on top?
The Ravens are the number one seed in the AFC and are coming off of a bye week. They will be playing against the Titans, who are the six seed. The Titans upset the New England Patriots in the first round of the playoffs. This will be a tough matchup for the Ravens, but they are still favored to win.
The Bills are the five seed and are coming off of a win against the division rival Miami Dolphins. They will be playing against the Texans, who are the four seed. The Texans beat the Buffalo Bills earlier in the season, but that was before quarterback Josh Allen was injured. He is now healthy and ready to lead his team to victory.
This should be a great weekend of football! Be sure to tune in to see who will advance to the AFC Championship game.
NFC Wild Card Playoffs
The NFC Wild Card Playoffs will feature four very good football teams. The first game will be between the Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys. This should be a great game, as both teams are very evenly matched. The second game will be between the Chicago Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles. This game is a bit more one-sided, as the Eagles are a better team than the Bears.
The NFC Wild Card Playoffs will be very exciting, and it will be interesting to see which teams come out on top.
