Reggie Bush’s NFL Career
Reggie Bush was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at USC, where he earned consensus All-American honors twice and won the Heisman Trophy in 2005. Bush was also a member of the Saints team that won Super Bowl XLIV in 2010. He has since played for the Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, and San Francisco 49ers.
Drafted by the New Orleans Saints
In the 2006 NFL Draft, Bush was selected second overall by the New Orleans Saints. As a rookie, Bush gained 1,307 all-purpose yards (875 rushing, 217 receiving, 215 punt return, and 0 kickoff return), leading all NFL rookies and breaking gadget player Brian Mitchell’s 1990 NFL rookie record for combined yards. He also became only the fifth rookie running back to have more than 1,000 rushing yards in a season.
Traded to the Miami Dolphins
In July 2012, Bush was traded to the Miami Dolphins. In his first season with the Dolphins, Bush had his most productive season as a pro, rushing for 986 yards on 227 carries with six rushing touchdowns. He also had 355 receiving yards on 61 receptions with three receiving touchdowns. For his efforts, Bush was selected as a second-team All-Pro by the Associated Press.

Signed by the San Francisco 49ers
Reggie Bush signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers on March 14, 2017. The deal is worth up to $3 million, and includes $1.25 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Bush, 31, spent the past two seasons with the Buffalo Bills, but his production has waned in recent years. In 2016, he appeared in 12 games and rushed for 234 yards on 94 carries (2.5 yards per carry). He also had 37 catches for 323 yards and five touchdowns.
