The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston area. The Patriots compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is 28 miles (45 km) southwest of downtown Boston.

The Patriots have appeared in 10 Super Bowls winning seven of them, most recently Super Bowl LIII in February 2019. Their dynasty began in 2001 with a victory over the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI and culminated with a comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, giving them their fifth title overall. They are also one of only two teams to win three Super Bowls in four years, along with the Seattle Seahawks from 2013 to 2016. With their seventh win in 2019, they extended their own NFL record for most Super Bowl wins by a head coach-quarterback tandem, and tied the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most total appearances in a row (nine).

The franchise has fielded 18 NFL Hall of Fame players, including quarterback Tom Brady and linebacker Andre Tippett; as well as 12 former head coaches and general managers who have been inducted into either the Pro Football Hall of Fame (PFHOF) or PFHOF’s Contributors category. The team owns the record for most Super Bowl losses (5), tied with five other teams; they lost their most recent appearance, Super Bowl LIII, on February 3, 2019 to NFC champion Los Angeles Rams 13–3.

The New York Jets

The New York Jets are a professional American football team based in the New York metropolitan area. The Jets compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team is headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey. In a unique arrangement for the league, the Jets share MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey with the New York Giants. The franchise is legally and corporately registered as New York Jets, LLC.

The team was founded in 1959 as the Titans of New York, an original member of the American Football League (AFL); later, the franchise joined the NFL in the AFL–NFL merger in 1970. The team began to play at Shea Stadium in 1964 and acquired its current name through a joint venture between Shelley Mayer (the Mets’ majority owner at that time), and Harry Wismer, who was given sole responsibility for coming up with a name for his team. The team’s training facility, Atlantic Health Jets Training Center, which opened in 2008, is located in Florham Park.

Tom Brady

Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. (born August 3, 1977), often referred to as Tom Brady, is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He is one of only two players to have won five Super Bowls (the other being defensive end Charles Haley), and he is the only player to have won them all playing for one team. Brady has also been honored with four Super Bowl MVP awards (Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, XLIX, and LI), the most ever by a single player, has been selected to 10 Pro Bowls, and has led his team to more division championships than any other quarterback in NFL history. As of 2017, Brady is ranked by NFL Network’s “The Top 100 Players of 2017” as the greatest NFL player of all time.

Darrelle Revis

Darrelle Revis is a cornerback who played college football at the University of Pittsburgh. He was drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. He has also played for the New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Game

The game will feature two of the best teams in the NFL. The Patriots are coming off a big win against the Steelers, while the Seahawks have been on a roll lately. Both teams have great offenses and defenses, so it should be a great game.

What to Expect

Tonight’s primetime match-up features two evenly matched teams. The New Orleans Saints are coming off a tough loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the Seattle Seahawks managed to squeak by with a win against the Dallas Cowboys. Both teams will be looking to prove themselves tonight, so it’s sure to be an exciting game.

On offense, the Saints are led by quarterback Drew Brees, who is known for his quick and accurate passing. He’ll be going up against a strong Seahawks defense that includes Pro Bowl safety Earl Thomas. The Seahawks will be looking to put pressure on Brees and force him into making mistakes.

The Saints also have a talented group of receivers, including Pro Bowlers Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara. They’ll need to be at their best tonight if they want to keep up with the Seahawks offense.

The Seahawks are led by quarterback Russell Wilson, who is one of the most explosive players in the NFL. He has a strong arm and is dangerous both as a runner and a passer. The Seahawks will be looking to get their running game going early and often tonight, as they have one of the best running backs in the NFL in Chris Carson.

The Seahawks also have one of the best defenses in the NFL, led by linebacker Bobby Wagner. They’ll be looking to shut down the Saints offense and make life difficult for Drew Brees.
