Who’s Undefeated in the NFL This Season?
Contents
For NFL fans, one of the most important questions each season is “Who’s undefeated?” We’ll take a look at the teams that are still undefeated this season and make some predictions about who will make it to the end.
The NFL’s Top Teams
The NFL season is well underway and there are a few teams that have managed to stay undefeated. The New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, and San Francisco 49ers are all looking strong this season. Let’s take a look at how these teams have been doing so far.
The New England Patriots
The New England Patriots have been one of the most successful teams in the NFL over the past two decades. They have won six Super Bowls, including three in the last four years. They are currently undefeated this season and are favoured to win another championship.
The Patriots have been led by their quarterback, Tom Brady, who is widely considered to be the greatest of all time. Other key players on the team include wide receiver Julian Edelman, running back Sony Michel, and defensive end Trey Flowers.
The Patriots have a strong team across the board and are always a tough opponent. They will likely be one of the favourites to win the Super Bowl again this year.
The Green Bay Packers
This team has been on fire this season, with a record of 10-0. The Packers are the only team in the NFL who is undefeated so far this season. They have a great offense, led by MVP candidate Aaron Rodgers, and a solid defense. The Packers are looking like the team to beat in the NFL this season.
The Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) East division. They are one of the most successful teams in the history of the NFL, having won eight League Championships, tied for the second-most in NFL history with the Pittsburgh Steelers, behind only the Green Bay Packers with thirteen. The Cowboys have made it to ten Super Bowls, tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos for second behind only the New England Patriots’ record eleven Super Bowl appearances. They are also one of only two teams to not have a losing season since 1965 (the other being the Miami Dolphins).
The Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are one of the top teams in the NFL this season. They have a solid record of 9-4-1, and their only losses have come against tough opponents like the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints. The Seahawks also have a great defense, which has been key to their success this season. If they can keep playing at this high level, they will be a force to reckon with in the playoffs.
The NFL’s Bottom Teams
It’s been a rough season for some NFL teams. The Cleveland Browns, for example, are still looking for their first win. The San Francisco 49ers have only won two games. At the bottom of the NFL standings, these teams share the dubious distinction of being the league’s least successful teams this season.
The Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division. The Browns play their home games at FirstEnergy Stadium, which opened in 1999, with administrative offices and training facilities in Berea, Ohio. The Browns’ official colors are brown, orange, and white. They are unique among the 32 member franchises of the NFL in that they do not have a logo on their helmets.
The franchise was founded in 1945 by businessman Arthur B. McBride and coach Paul Brown as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). The Browns dominated the AAFC, compiling a 47–4–3 record in the league’s four active seasons and winning its championship in each of them. When the AAFC folded after the 1949 season, the Browns joined the NFL along with three other AAFC teams: the San Francisco 49ers, the original Baltimore Colts, and the original Buffalo Bills. In 1950, Brown met with Art Modell, then-owners of the AAFC’s Cleveland Panthers/Bombers, who planned to move his franchise to Baltimore.
Although Modell originally wanted to retain Brown as head coach for his new Baltimore team (which would become known as the Colts), he agreed to let him go after one season due to disagreements between them. Thus, McBride and Brown became co-founders of what would become one of only two expansion teams to win an NFL championship prior to 1970 (the other being team’s future intra-state rival: Cincinnati Bengals). Wide receiver Dante Lavelli – nicknamed “Gluefingers” – , was one of several stars for Cleveland during their championship years; he led all NFL receivers during those three seasons with 165 catches for 2294 yards and 24 touchdowns. fullback Marion Motley was another key contributor during those years; he rushed for over 1000 yards in 1946 and 1947 while being named All-Pro both seasons; he retired as pro football’s career leading rusher with 5860 yards on 1090 carries (5.4 avg.), also adding 253 receptions for 2084 yards (8.2 avg.) during his nine years of service with Cleveland including six seasons where he gained more than 500 rushing yards; quarterback Otto Graham – , also became well known for his exploits during these championship years – leading all quarterbacks during that time frame with 104 touchdown passes while being named first or second team All-Pro five times during his 9 seasons as Cleveland’s starter from 1946–1955 including AP NFL MVP four times; Graham led whichever league he played quarterback for seven times in passing touchdowns (AAFC twice: ’46 & ’47 / NFL: 5 times (’50,’51,’53,-’55)) & retired from pro football after leading his team to an NFL championship game victory for ten consecutive seasons including winning five championships (’46-’49 AAFC / ’50,-’55 NFL) which is still an unmatched record by any quarterback who ever played professional football at any level while compiling stats good enough where he is considered by many experts & historians as not only one of pro football’s greatest quarterbacks but also one of its greatest players period regardless of position with many even considering him among not just pro football’s but all of North American professional sports most dominant players ever & some even going so far as proclaiming him possibly its single most dominant player period alongside Babe Ruth & Michael Jordan though this last claim is very much disputed by baseball historians who instead tend to give that distinction almost exclusively to Ruth himself; end Mac Speedie – , was another star player for those championship teams catching 248 passes for 3860 yards & 30 touchdowns between 1946–1952 while being named first or second team All Pro 3 times including leading all receivers during at least 2 season (’46 AAFC / ’47 NFL); defensive end Bill Willis was another star defender being named first or second team All Pro 4 times & helping anchor a defense that recorded 77 shutouts between 1946–1955 3rd most by any team since 1920 although some dispute how many “official” shutouts they recorded due to changes made later regarding what officially constitutes a shutout while they are also widely considered among if not THE best overall defense during at least this time frame allowing an average 8 .6 points per game between 1946–1953 bested only by Chicago Bears Defense who allowed 7 .5 points per game between 1942–1945 though it should be noted that league scoring overall dropped considerably throughout most if not all of this time frame due largely due to rule changes designed mainly to open up offenses which included legalizing forward pass anywhere behind line of scrimmage instead previous 5 yard limit thus making it much easier shorter touchdown passes something that would continue throughout next several decades; speedster Marion Motley rushed for over 1 thousand yards twice including setting then single season rushing record 1 137yards on 232 carries 6 yd avg 10 TDs en route earning AP NFL MVP honors leading league both rushing TDs 10 & total TDs 11 helping lead team title game victory where they set still standing today scoringrecord56 pts rout 14 3 win NY Yankees incidentally who ironically enough had given up just 56 points entire SEASON previously becoming 1st ever title holders brand new AAFC effectively giving birth modern day AFC division current day Buffalo Bills into which organization they merged following 1949 season finishing 8 2 4 2nd place division behind eventual champion 49ers whom incidentally were coached future Hall Fame QB Frankie Albert authoring what still considered greatest upset sports history defeating defending champEagles 14 0 handily outgaining them 407 157 en route title game victory 27 7 rout champYankees giving fans quite treat watching 1st ever live coast coast television broadcast professional sporting event now legendaryradio sports broadcaster Ted Husing doing play by play action BOTH games calling West Coast portion movie like simulcast coverage!context css column count property html
The San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are the only team in the NFL who are still undefeated this season. They have an impressive record of 9-0, and their closest rivals are the New England Patriots, who have a record of 8-1.
The 49ers have been dominant in all aspects of the game this season, and their defense has been especially impressive, only giving up an average of 14 points per game. Their offense has also been clicking on all cylinders, averaging over 30 points per game.
With such a strong start to the season, it looks like the 49ers are poised to make a deep run in the playoffs, and they will be a team to watch out for in the coming weeks.
The Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are one of the NFL’s bottom teams this season. They have a record of 3-9 and are currently in last place in the NFC North. The Bears have struggled offensively, ranking 28th in the league in points scored per game. Their defense has been decent, but they have been hampered by injuries. The Bears will likely finish with a losing record for the fifth straight season.
The Detroit Lions
As of Week 9 of the 2019 NFL season, the Detroit Lions are the only team in the NFL who have yet to win a game. They are currently 0-7.
