How to Clean Your Baseball Cap the Right Way
It’s easy to forget about your baseball cap, but it’s important to clean it regularly. Here’s how to clean your baseball cap the right way.
Soak in warm water and dish soap
Fill a sink or a bucket with warm water and a squirt or two of dish soap. Submerge your hat and let it soak for 15-20 minutes. Doing this will loosen all the built-up grime on your hat so that it’s easier to clean.
Use an old toothbrush to scrub
To clean your baseball cap the right way, start by turning it inside out and giving it a good shake to remove any loose dirt or debris. Then, use an old toothbrush to scrub the bill, as this is typically the dirtiest part of the cap. Once you’ve removed all the dirt and grime, rinse your baseball cap in cool water and let it air dry.
Rinse and let air dry
To start, rinse the cap in cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Do not put the baseball cap in the washing machine or use hot water, as this can shrink or damage the cap. Next, let the baseball cap air dry. You can do this by letting it sit out on a counter or drying rack, or by hanging it on a clothesline. If you’re in a hurry, you can also use a hairdryer set on low heat to speed up the drying process.
