The first Polo Grounds

In 1883, the Polo Grounds was rebuilt at the same site to accommodate baseball as well as continue hosting polo matches. This new Polo Grounds was used by the New York Metropolitans (later known as the Brooklyn Dodgers) of the National League from 1883–1884, and by the New York Giants from 1883 until 1888, when they moved to Coogan’s Hollow due to disagreements with management about stadium revenue sharing.

Ebbets Field

Ebbets Field was a Major League Baseball stadium located in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York. It is known mainly as the home of the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball team from 1913 to 1957. Ebbets Field was demolished in 1960 and replaced by apartment buildings.
