Cubs 5, Brewers 4

The Chicago Cubs won a seesaw battle against the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday, 5-4. The two teams were tied at four in the bottom of the ninth inning when Cubs second baseman Javier Baez hit a game-winning home run.

It was a back-and-forth affair, with the lead changing hands several times. The Brewers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Cubs battled back with a run in the bottom of the frame and another in the second. Milwaukee regained the lead with a run in the top of the third, but Chicago tied it again in the bottom of the inning.

The game remained deadlocked until Baez’s dramatics in the bottom of the ninth. It was a much-needed win for the Cubs, who are now just two games behind Milwaukee in the National League Central Division race.
