- Go to 2K21 in your library
- Right click on NBA 2K21 and select ‘Properties’

Go to 2K21 in your library
To mod NBA 2K21, you’ll first need to go to your game library in the Steam Client. Once there, locate NBA 2K21 and select it. Doing so will open up the game’s page on the Steam Store.
Right click on NBA 2K21 and select ‘Properties’
From the main Steam window, right click on NBA 2K21 and select ‘Properties’. A new window will pop up. From here, select the ‘Local Files’ tab at the top and then click ‘Browse Local Files…’. This will open up a File Explorer window displaying the contents of the NBA 2K21 folder.

To mod NBA 2K21, you first need to locate the NBA 2K21 installation folder. The default location for this is:
C:\\Program Files\\Epic Games\\NBA2K21
Once you have found this folder, open it and then look for the ” content ” folder. Inside of this folder, you will find a number of subfolders. One of these subfolders is called ” rosters “. This is where all of the game’s roster files are located.
Go to the ‘Saves’ folder
On PC, the ‘Saves’ folder for NBA 2K21 is usually located in the following directory:
C:\\Users\\[YOUR USERNAME]\\AppData\\Roaming\\2K Sports\\NBA 2K21\\Saves
To find the ‘Saves’ folder on Xbox One, you will need to do the following:
-Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the Guide.
-Select System.
-Select Settings.
-Select System.
-Select Storage.
-Select Hard drive.
-Highlight the NBA 2K21 game icon and press the Menu button (the button with three dots on it). From here, you can select ‘Manage game and add-ons’, and then select ‘Saves’.
Copy the ‘Config’ folder to your desktop
1. Download the ‘Config’ folder from the link below.
2. Copy the ‘Config’ folder to your desktop.
3. Download and install the ‘ NBA 2K21 Toolbox’ from the link below.
4. Open the ‘ NBA 2K21 Toolbox’ and select the ‘ Mods’ tab.
5. Click on the ‘Install Mod’ button and select the ‘ Config’ folder you copied to your desktop.
6. The ‘ Config’ folder will now be installed in your NBA 2K21 installation directory (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\NBA 2K21).
7. You can now launch NBA 2K21 and go to the ‘ MyTEAM’ menu to access your mods.
Open the ‘Config’ folder and open the ‘Default’ file with Notepad
1. Download the ‘ NBA 2K21 PC Modding Tool’ from Github.
2. Unzip the file and open the ‘ Config’ folder.
3. Open the ‘Default’ file with Notepad .
4. Find the following line: GameVersion=1.0.0
5. Change it to GameVersion=1.0.5 or whatever the current game version is (you can check this in-game, in the bottom left corner).
6. Save changes and close Notepad .
7. Now open NBA2K13updater13_14 (or any other supported game) with Modding Tool .
8. Click on ‘Detect installed game version’ and wait until it’s done detecting (shouldn’t take longer than a few seconds).
9. After that, click on ‘DownloadMods’ and wait until it finishes downloading all mods (again, shouldn’t take longer than a few seconds).
Find the line that says ‘EnableMods=0’ and change the ‘0’ to a ‘1’
Open the ‘MyCareer’ folder – This is located in ‘Documents/2K Games/Nba 2K21’
Open the ‘Config’ folder – This is located in ‘MyDocuments/2K Games/Nba 2K21/Saves’
Find the file called ‘Sliders.ini’ and open it in Notepad
Find the line that says ‘EnableMods=0’ and change the ‘0’ to a ‘1’
Now save the file and close it. You have now enabled modding in NBA 2K21!
Save the file and close Notepad
1. Download the generic_def.iff and copy it to \Steam\steamapps\common\NBA 2K21\ NBA2K21\inject
2. Run the game and get to the main menu
3. Alt+Tab out of the game and open up Notepad
4. Open the file called “default” (without the quotation marks) that is located in \Steam\steamapps\common\NBA 2K21\ NBA2K21\inject
5. Scroll down until you see this line: 0xD188C1CB
6. Delete everything from that line down to this line: (including those lines)
7. Save the file and close Notepad
8. Open up Moddingway Selector 2K20 from your desktop
9. Start NBA 2K21, select your profile, and load into a game
Copy the ‘Config’ folder back into the ‘Saves’ folder
1. Download the NBA 2K21 save file mod from Techipede.
2. Unzip the downloaded file. You should see a folder called ‘Config’.
3. Copy the ‘Config’ folder back into the ‘Saves’ folder which is located in your Documents Folder:
Windows: `Documents\2K Sports\NBA 2K21\Saves`
macOS: `Documents/NBA 2K21/Saves`
4. If you have more than one player, each player will have their own save file. You will need to copy the ‘Config’ folder into each player’s save folder for the mod to work for them as well.
Launch NBA 2K21 and go to ‘Options’
In order to mod NBA 2K21, you will first need to launch the game and go to ‘Options’. From here, you will need to select the ‘General’ tab and then scroll down to ‘External Files’. Enable ‘Allow Signature Verification Override’ and then select ‘OK’. You will now be able to mod NBA 2K21.
