The frontrunners for the first pick seem to be the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, and the Charlotte Hornets. All three of these teams have had a terrible season and their records reflect that. The Timberwolves have the worst record in the league, the Pistons are the second worst, and the Hornets are the third worst.

The 2020-21 NBA draft is scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 29, 2021. The draft will be held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The draft lottery will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. The draft order will be determined by a random drawing of 14 ping-pong balls. The balls are drawn in order from the first four picks to the last four picks. The team with the worst record will have the best chance of getting the first pick.

On Tuesday, August 25th, the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery will be held to determine the order of the first 14 picks in the 2021 NBA Draft. Of the 14 lottery teams, the one with the worst record will have the best chance to get the No. 1 pick, while the team with the best record will have the worst chance to get the No. 1 pick.
The odds for the lottery
The 2021 NBA Draft Lottery will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. The draft will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021. The odds for the lottery are as follows:
-The Milwaukee Bucks have the best chance to win the lottery with a 25% chance.
-The Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors each have a 14% chance to win the lottery.
-The Atlanta Hawks have a 12.5% chance to win the lottery.
-The Detroit Pistons have a 10.5% chance to win the lottery.
