Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo is a Greek professional basketball player who is currently leading the NBA in scoring. He is also the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player. Antetokounmpo was born and raised in Athens, Greece, and he began playing basketball at a young age. He started his professional career with the Greek club Filathlitikos B.C. in 2011. Antetokounmpo has played for the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA since 2013. He is the eldest son of Nigerian immigrants.

The Milwaukee Bucks are an American professional basketball team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Bucks compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Central Division. The team was founded in 1968 as an expansion team, and play at the Fiserv Forum. Former U.S. Senator Herb Kohl was the long-time owner of the team, but on April 16, 2014, a group led by billionaire hedge fund managers Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry agreed to purchase a majority interest in the team from Kohl, a sale which was approved by the NBA Board of Governors on May 15. The new owners appointed Peter Feigin as the franchise’s fifth president.

James Harden is currently leading the NBA in scoring this year. As of December 18th, he has averaged 36.3 points per game. He is also leading the league in three point shooting, averaging 10.1 three pointers made per game. He is currently on pace to have the best season of his career.

He played college basketball for Arizona State, where he was named a consensus All-American and Pac-10 Player of the Year in 2009. Houston Rockets acquired him in a trade in 2012. In 2018, he became one of only four players to average at least 30 points and eight assists in a season.

James Edward Harden Jr. (born August 26, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Arizona State, where he was named a consensus All-American and Pac-10 Player of the Year in 2009. Harden was selected with the third overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In 2012, he was named NBA Sixth Man of the Year with the Thunder and helped lead them to the NBA Finals. He was traded to Houston before the start of the 2012–13 season. During his first season with Rockets, he led the team in scoring and earned a reputation as a fierce scorer. In 2015–16, he became only the fifth player in NBA history to average at least 29 points, six rebounds and seven assists per game in a single season, joining Oscar Robertson (1961-62), Michael Jordan (1988-89), Russell Westbrook (2016-17) and LeBron James (2017-18).

Harden has earned All-Star honors five times, been named to the All-NBA Team six times and was MVP of the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. He has led the league in scoring three times, won two Maurice Podoloff Trophy as league MVP (2018 & 2019) and is currently averaging 26.5 points per game this season which leads all scorers in 2019-20 campaign.

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young is currently leading the NBA in scoring, averaging 29.6 points per game. Young is in his second year in the league and has been one of the most exciting players to watch this season. He’s also been shooting very well from three-point range, averaging over 10 three-pointers made per game.

The Atlanta Hawks are an American professional basketball team based in Atlanta, Georgia. The Hawks compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Southeast Division. The team plays its home games at State Farm Arena.

In 1946, Ben Kerner and a group of businessmen financed the formation of the Milwaukee Hawks, a professional basketball team playing in the newly formed Basketball Association of America (BAA). The BAA was created by three other major professional basketball leagues: the National Basketball League (NBL), the American Basketball League (ABL), and the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Kerner’s ownership group then moved the team to St. Louis in 1951. In 1955, Kerner sold the Hawks to Thomas Cousins and former Georgia Governor Carl Sanders.

Bradley Beal is an American professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Florida Gators before being selected by the Wizards in the first round of the 2012 NBA draft with the third overall pick. A two-time NBA All Star, Beal was named to the All-NBA Third Team in 2019.

Beal scored a career-high 53 points on December 16, 2016, against the Portland Trail Blazers. He was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from December 12 to 18, 2016. On January 7, 2017, he scored a then career-high 42 points in a 130–122 double-overtime win over the Charlotte Hornets.

On November 27, 2017, Beal scored 37 points against his former team, the Orlando Magic in a 113–106 victory. On December 16, 2017, Beal scored 39 points in a 115–112 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. On February 9, 2018, Beal recorded his second career triple double with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a 120–112 win over the Detroit Pistons.

On October 27, 2018, Beal signed a five-year contract extension with the Wizards worth $127 million.

On November 19, 2019, Beal scored 44 points in a 111–95 win over the Indiana Pacers. Two nights later, he had 42 points and eight assists in a 118–112 win over the Chicago Bulls.

Damian Lillard

As the star point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard is currently leading the NBA in scoring.

Lillard is averaging 28.9 points per game so far this season, just ahead of Houston Rockets guard James Harden (28.6) and Dallas Mavericks forward Luka Doncic (28.4).

In addition to his scoring prowess, Lillard is also averaging 7.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. He’s shooting 45.7% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range.

Lillard has been especially hot lately, averaging 34.7 points and 6.7 assists over his last seven games. He’s scored 30 or more points in eight of his last 11 games, including a season-high 49-point performance against the Golden State Warriors on January 20th.

With Lillard leading the way, the Trail Blazers have been one of the surprise teams in the NBA this season. They currently have a 29-18 record and are sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference standings.

The Portland Trail Blazers point guard is having an outstanding season, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Lillard is a force to be reckoned with on the court, and opposing teams have their work cut out for them when trying to contain him. If he can keep up his current level of play, there’s no doubt that he’ll be in the running for the MVP award at the end of the season.
