What Is My Favorite NBA Team?
Contents
It’s a question that every basketball fan has to answer at some point in their lives – what is my favorite NBA team? For some, the answer is easy. They’ve been rooting for the same team since they were a kid, and they’re not about to switch now. Others may have a favorite player that they follow from team to team. And then there are those who simply can’t stand any of the teams and just want to see good basketball.
No matter which category
The Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics are my favorite NBA team. They have a rich history, winning the most championships of any NBA team. They have had many great players, such as Bill Russell, Larry Bird, and Paul Pierce. The Celtics are also known for their intense rivalries, such as the one with the Los Angeles Lakers.

As a result, their boss Red Auerbach is remembered as one of the greatest managers in NBA history.

The Golden State Warriors
There are many reasons why the Golden State Warriors are my favorite NBA team. They have some of the best players in the league, they play an exciting brand of basketball, and they’re always in contention for a championship. Let’s take a more in-depth look at each of these reasons.
History
The Warriors were founded in 1946 as the Philadelphia Warriors, a charter member of the Basketball Association of America (BAA). They were owned by Peter A. Tyrrell, who also owned the Philadelphia Rockets of the American Hockey League. Tyrrell hired Eddie Gottlieb, a longtime basketball promoter in the Philadelphia area, as coach and general manager; Gottlieb was one of the owners of the failed American Basketball League’s Philadelphia Sphas. By the end of the season, despite having won only 17 games, tyrrell had decided that Gottlieb was incapable of running an NBA team and sold him to buy a minor league hockey team, also called The Warriors. Gottlieb bought back majority control of the team a year later.
In 1959, the franchise relocate to San Francisco, and changed its name to the San Francisco Warriors. The Warriors won their first NBA championship in 1975, led by star player Rick Barry. In 1976, after losing star center Nate Thurmond to retirement and head coach Al Attles to pneumonia, attendance at Warriors games began to decline; things got so bad that at one point they had to offer free tickets to anyone who would show up to their games.
In 1977, they drafted high school phenom Magic Johnson with their first overall pick; he would eventually lead them back to prominence. After Johnson’s rookie season,Attles retired from coaching and was replaced by his assistant Johnny Orr. The Warriors made it back to playoffs in 1980 behind rookie superstar forward Bernard King but lost in overtime of Game 7 in the Western Conference Finals against eventual champion Los Angeles Lakers despite having a 3-2 series lead.. After returning home down 0-2 in 1981 playoffs against Julius Erving’s Philadelphia 76ers playing some inspired basketball with Kingergia Chicago Bulls in what many consider one of teams’ most talented rosters ever As it turned out though Barkley would be tradedPhil Jacksonwhere he would win 6 championships between 1996-1998 with Michael Jeffrey playing on all 6 teams) along with full season debuts from rookies Jamal Crawford and Jason Richardson
