The teams

As of right now, the Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, LA Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, and Washington Wizards are all playing in the NBA.

Eastern Conference

The Eastern Conference is made up of 15 teams, organized into three divisions. The Atlantic Division includes the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Toronto Raptors. The Central Division includes the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, and Milwaukee Bucks. The Southeast Division includes the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards.

Western Conference

The Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of two conferences that makes up the league, the other being the Eastern Conference. Like the Eastern Conference, the Western Conference is made up of 15 teams, organized into three divisions.

The current divisional alignments were introduced in 2004, when the then-28-team league realigned itself into six divisions in each conference: three five-team divisions (labeled as 1–3) and two four-team divisions (labeled as 4 and 5). The five-team divisions were labeled as Northwest (teams 1 and 2), Pacific (teams 3 and 4), and Southwest (team 5); while the four-team divisions were labeled as Southwest (teams 6 and 7) and Central (teams 8–10). As a result of the Houston Rockets moving to the American Airlines Center in 2002, which resulted in them switching conferences with the New Orleans Pelicans to balance both conferences with 15 teams each.

Western Conference

The Western Conference is one of the two conferences in the National Basketball Association (NBA). This conference comprises 15 teams, arranged into three divisions of five teams each. The season runs from October to April, with each team playing 82 games. At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams in each conference qualify for the playoffs.

The Western Conference has generally been dominant in recent years, winning 21 of the last 25 NBA Finals. The current champions are the Golden State Warriors, who have won three titles in a row. Other successful teams include the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets.
