How to Get NBA TV on Apple TV

Get step-by-step instructions on how to add NBA TV to your Apple TV channel lineup.
Download the NBA app on your Apple TV
To get started, you’ll need to download the NBA app on your Apple TV. You can find the NBA app by searching for it in the App Store, or by clicking on the link below.
Once you have the NBA app downloaded, you will need to sign in with your TV provider account. If you don’t have a TV provider account, you can still watch highlights and live games through the NBA app, but you will need a TV provider account to watch full length games and other live content.
Once you’re signed in, you’ll be able to watch any live games that are currently available, as well as full length replays of recent games. You can also access other content like highlights and clips, as well as check out the schedule for upcoming games.
Go to Settings and then Apps
On your Apple TV, open the App Store.
Choose Purchased.
If you don’t see NBA TV, choose Not on This Apple TV.
Find NBA TV, then select Get.
Select NBA and then Turn on NBA TV Pass
To get started, open the App Store on your Apple TV and search for NBA. The first result should be the official NBA app. If it isn’t, you can find it by typing in “NBA” in the App Store’s search bar.
Once you’ve found the official NBA app, select it and then click the Get button or + icon. The app will then begin downloading onto your Apple TV. Once it’s done, open the app.
You should now see the main screen of the NBA app which has a menu along the top and featured content below. On the menu, select NBA.
You should now be on the NBA section of the app which has different tabs along the top including Scores, Standings, Schedule, Playoffs, and Stats. Select the Playoffs tab.
On the Playoffs tab, you will see a list of all the current playoff match-ups. Scroll down to find the one you want to watch and select it.
Once you select a match-up, you will be taken to a new screen with more information about that game including matchup history and news articles. Scroll down and under where it says How to Watch, select Turn on NBA TV Pass.
A new window will open asking if you want to subscribe to NBA TV Pass for $9/mo USD or $99/yr USD. Click Subscribe Now and then enter your iTunes password when prompted
You will now have access to NBA TV
After you have completed the sign-in process, you will now have access to NBA TV. You can find NBA TV by scroll to the bottom of your Home screen and selecting the Sports icon.
If you’re an NBA League Pass subscriber, you can also access live and on-demand games by selecting the NBA app on your Apple TV.
