You can either deactivate the salary cap or turn it off entirely. If you deactivate the salary cap, you will be able to sign any free agent to your team, but their salary will not count towards the cap. If you turn off the salary cap, you will not be able to sign any free agents at all.
Go to “MyGM/MyLEAGUE”
In the main menu, go to “MyGM/MyLEAGUE”. Select “Options” at the bottom of the screen, then navigate to the “Features” tab. Scroll down to the “Cap Holds and Storylines” setting and toggle it off.
Select “Options”
On the main menu, select “Options.” Doing so will open the “Options” menu, where you can change various game settings.
In the “Options” menu, scroll down to the “Capabilities” section. This section contains settings related to your MyPLAYER’s abilities and limits in NBA 2K21.
Click the “Cap Space” setting. By default, this setting is set to “On.” Clicking it once will change it to “Off.” Doing so will turn off all salary cap restrictions in your game of NBA 2K21.
