Kobe Bean Bryant was an American professional basketball player. As a shooting guard, he spent his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Criteria for NBA Hall of Fame Induction

Players must wait five years after retirement to be eligible for the Hall of Fame. A player who has been retired for at least three years but less than five is eligible if he has been nominated by a special committee.

There are three ways a player can be elected to the Hall of Fame:
– Being named on 80% of the ballots cast by the 9-member Screening Committee
– Being named on 65% of the ballots cast by the entire Hall of Fame membership
– Being named on 50% of the ballots cast by the entire Hall of Fame membership and being recommended by at least 3/4ths of the Screening Committee
