It’s no secret that the NHL has a strong presence in Las Vegas. With the Golden Knights now playing at the T-Mobile Arena, many people are wondering where all the other NHL teams stay when they’re in town.
NHL Teams in Vegas
The NHL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America, and Las Vegas has been home to one NHL team since 2017. The NHL team that currently calls Las Vegas home is the Golden Knights. When the Golden Knights have a home game, they stay at one of the many hotels on the Las Vegas Strip.

Depending on the team, they will either stay in Las Vegas for the entire length of their road trip or just a few days.

The Chicago Blackhawks are a professional ice hockey team based in Chicago, Illinois. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). They have won six Stanley Cup championships since their founding in 1926. The Blackhawks are one of the “Original Six” NHL teams along with the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins and New York Rangers. The team has an intense rivalry with the Detroit Red Wings, as well as a historic rivalry with the St. Louis Blues; both rivalries are both well over six decades old.
The Blackhawks play their home games at the United Center, which they share with the National Basketball Association’s Chicago Bulls. The team previously played for 65 years at Chicago Stadium.

When the Pittsburgh Penguins come to town, they stay at the MGM Grand. The hotel is located on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, and is just a short walk away from the team’s practice facility at the city’s Jewish Community Center.

The Golden Knights are a professional ice hockey team based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. The team began play in the 2017–18 NHL season, and is the first major professional sports franchise based in Las Vegas. The team is owned by Black Knight Sports & Entertainment, a consortium led by Bill Foley and the Maloof family.
The Golden Knights play their home games at T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. In their inaugural season, they set numerous league expansion records, winning eight of their first nine games and ultimately finishing with 109 points—the most ever amassed by an expansion team in their debut season. The Golden Knights received strong play from many of their young players such as defenseman Shea Theodore, forwards William Karlsson and Reilly Smith, and goaltender Malcolm Subban en route to qualifying for the Stanley Cup playoffs in their first year of existence.
The Golden Knights are one of two NHL expansion teams to have reached the Stanley Cup Finals during its first two seasons, winning the Western Conference championship in 2018 before losing to the Washington Capitals in five games during the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals.

The Pittsburgh Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins are a professional ice hockey team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are members of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Penguins have won five Stanley Cup championships, second most of any NHL team behind the Detroit Red Wings.
The team is currently coached by Mike Sullivan and led by captain Sidney Crosby. The Penguins play their home games at PPG Paints Arena in downtown Pittsburgh.
When they travel to Las Vegas to play the Golden Knights, they stay at The Palms Casino Resort.
