Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning have made it to the NHL Finals! They will be facing off against the Dallas Stars. This is the Lightning’s second appearance in the Finals in franchise history, and they are looking to take home the Stanley Cup this time around.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are a professional ice hockey team based in Tampa, Florida. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. The Lightning have one Stanley Cup championship in their history, in 2003–04. The team is often referred to as the Bolts, and the nickname was used on their former third jerseys from 2008 to 2017.

They have also won division championships five times since 2011–12 with 2013–14 marking their most recent one.

Dallas Stars

The Stars advanced to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2000, when they lost to the New Jersey Devils in six games, and will face the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa Bay is in the final for the second time since 2015, when they lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in six games.

Overview

After a long and difficult regular season, the NHL playoffs are finally here.
