In the WWE, Fastlane is one of the “big four” pay-per-view events, along with WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series. It is currently produced annually in February. The 2020 event took place on March 10.
The concept of Fastlane was introduced in 2015 as a lead-in to WrestleMania 31. It has since been established as the final PPV before ‘Mania.
The title “Fastlane” is a play on the name of the 1993 classic film The Fast and the Furious.

WrestleMania is WWE’s biggest event of the year, and it takes place every spring. The exact date and location of WrestleMania changes from year to year, but it is always held on a Sunday in late March or early April.
WrestleMania 35 will be held on April 7, 2019, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This will be the first time that WrestleMania will be held in the state of New Jersey.
What is on the line?
At WWE WrestleMania, anything and everything can happen. It is the one night of the year where WWE pulls out all the stops, and this year will be no different. On Sunday, April 7, WWE will present WrestleMania 36 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
WWE WrestleMania 36 will feature a number of marquee matches, including: Drew McIntyre vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship, Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler for the Raw Women’s Championship, The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match, Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship and Edge vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match.
In addition to these huge championship contests, there are a number of other matches that have the potential to steal the show. These include John Cena vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Fun House Match, Matt Hardy vs. Elias in a Guitar on a Pole Match and Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins in a Cage Match.
