PROS:
-Each box contains 11 packs, each with 4 cards. That means you’re guaranteed to get 44 cards in total.
-There are a total of 300 different cards to collect in the set, which means you have a decent chance of pulling some rarer cards.
-Each box also contains one chase card, which could be anything from a rookie card to an autograph card.

CONS:

2019-20 prizm basketball Blaster Box Break – The Bad

We opened a 2019-20 Prizm Basketball Blaster Box and were sorely disappointed with the results. Of the 11 packs in the box, only two contained NBA Prizms – both of which were common cards. In total, we pulled just 17 NBA Cards and one insert. The best card in the box was Zion Williamson Rookie Debut, but it was a parallel and not numbered to his rookie year printing of 10.

2019-20 Prizm Basketball Blaster Box Break – The Ugly

As excited as I was to bust open a couple of blaster boxes of 2019-20 Prizm Basketball, the reality is that this product is extremely disappointing. The odds of finding a base Prizm are 1:4 packs, which means that in a 20-pack box, you’re likely only going to get five base cards. And the base cards are not even that attractive, with dull designs and a boring color scheme

The inserts are also uninspiring, with nothing really standing out. And the hits are very hit-or-miss, with the majority of boxes containing nothing more than low-end base and insert cards. Overall, 2019-20 Prizm Basketball is a major disappointment and I would not recommend it to anyone.

2019-20 Prizm Basketball Blaster Box Break – Overall Thoughts

I generally like Panini Prizm Basketball and this year’s product is no different. The designs are solid, if a little bit generic and safe. The color selection is always nice, and I think the overall feel of the product is good. I think the highlight cards in this year’s set are the All-Star cards, which are very well done. The downside to this year’s product is that it seems to be lacking in star power, with only a handful of true superstar cards. Overall, I think it’s a solid product, but it’s not one that will blow you away.

2019-20 Prizm Basketball Blaster Box Break – Would I Recommend?

Today, I’m going to take a look at the 2019-20 Panini Prizm NBA basketball Blaster box.

This is a lower-end product that comes out around the start of the NBA season and contains 11 NBA cards plus two silver pack cards. In terms of value, this box is a little under $100 USD.

First, let’s take a look at what you get in the box:
-11 NBA Cards
-2 Silver Pack Cards
-1 Pack of Panini Points (redeemable for digital content)

The 11 NBA cards are going to be your base Prizms, rookie cards and some Inserts. In my experience, panini prizm products have been good at delivering 1-2 hitting rookies per box on average. The silver pack cards are blind packed parallels of base or common Inserts. The parallels are seeded 1:4 boxes on average, so you have a shot at pulling something good.

Finally, you get one pack of Panini Points. These points can be redeemed for digital content like wallpapers and avatars for your favorite NBA players

So, would I recommend this box? If you’re a big NBA fan and you love collecting rookie cards and Prizms, then this is definitely a box for you. With an MSRP of $19.99 USD per box, it’s definitely worth the price if you can find it on sale.
