Brock Lesnar has not been seen in WWE for over a year, but there is speculation that he may be making a return soon.
Brock Lesnar’s Last WWE Appearance
The last time Brock Lesnar was seen in a WWE ring was at WrestleMania 35 where he lost the Universal Championship to Seth Rollins. Since then, he has not been seen on WWE programming. However, there have been recent rumors that Brock Lesnar could be making his return to WWE. Let’s take a look at what could be happening.
The Royal Rumble
Brock Lesnar’s last WWE appearance was at the Royal Rumble on Sunday, January 26th.
This was a very special appearance for Brock, as he made his return to the WWE after an 8 year absence.
Brock came out to a huge pop from the crowd, and was one of the surprise entrants in the Royal Rumble match.
He lasted almost 30 minutes in the match, and was eliminated by Roman Reigns.
Despite not winning the match, Brock’s return was a big success, and it looks like he could be back in WWE on a regular basis in the near future.
WrestleMania
Brock Lesnar’s last WWE appearance was at WrestleMania, where he successfully defended his WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns. Lesnar has not been seen on WWE programming since, leading many to believe that he has left the company. However, there is no confirmation of this as of yet.
Brock Lesnar’s UFC Career
Brock Lesnar is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current WWE Universal Champion. He is also one of the top pay-per-view draws in WWE. Lesnar has had a successful UFC career, but has had mixed success in WWE.
UFC 200
Brock Lesnar made a triumphant return to the UFC at UFC 200, defeating Mark Hunt in a highly entertaining bout. Lesnar had been away from the organization for over five years, but showed very little ring rust in his return. The victory was originally a decision win for Lesnar, but after it was revealed that he had failed multiple USADA drug tests, the result was overturned to a no contest.
Despite the disappointing outcome, there is no doubt that Lesnar is still one of the biggest stars in both the UFC and WWE. His return to the UFC was one of the most anticipated moments of 2016, and his bout with Hunt delivered on all expectations. It remains to be seen if Lesnar will return to the UFC for another fight, but one thing is certain – he is still one of the biggest draws in mixed martial arts.
UFC 226
Brock Lesnar made his return to the UFC at UFC 226, where he faced off against Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier in a non-title fight. Lesnar had not fought in the UFC since 2011, and many wondered if he could still compete at a high level after such a long absence.
The fight did not last long, as Cormier knocked out Lesnar early in the first round. Lesnar was able to take some shots from Cormier, but ultimately was no match for the champion. After the loss, many speculated that Brock Lesnar would retire from MMA and return to WWE full-time.
Brock Lesnar has not officially announced his retirement from MMA, but it seems likely that he will return to WWE now that his latest UFC contract is over. Only time will tell if Brock Lesnar will ever fight in the UFC again, but it seems unlikely at this point.
Brock Lesnar’s Current WWE Contract
Brock Lesnar’s current WWE contract is set to expire in April 2020. Lesnar has been inactive since WrestleMania 36, and there has been speculation that he may not return to WWE. Lesnar’s last match was a loss to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36.
The “WWE Universal Championship”
In 2015, Brock Lesnar returned to WWE after a five-year absence, and immediately won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He’s held the title ever since, despite only appearing on a limited basis. In fact, Lesnar has only competed in five matches since returning to WWE.
Lesnar’s current contract with WWE is believed to be a lucrative one, reportedly earning him $5 million per year. In addition, Lesnar is said to receive a percentage of pay-per-view buyrates whenever he appears on TV. Given his popularity and drawing power, it’s not surprising that Lesnar is one of the highest-paid performers in WWE.
The “WWE Raw Tag Team Championship”
The “WWE Raw Tag Team Championship” is a professional wrestling world tag team championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion WWE, defended on their Raw brand division. It is one of two tag team championships for WWE’s main roster, along with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship on the SmackDown brand. The current champions are The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), who are in their first reign as a team.
Will Brock Lesnar Return to WWE?
Brock Lesnar is one of the most popular WWE Superstars ever. He left WWE in 2004 to pursue a career in the UFC. Lesnar was a dominant force in the UFC, winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship. After a few years away from WWE, Lesnar made his return in 2012 and has been with WWE ever since. Lesnar is currently contracted with WWE until 2020.
The “WWE SmackDown Live”
Brock Lesnar, the current WWE Universal Champion, has not been seen on WWE programming since he successfully defended his title against Braun Strowman at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia last November.
This has led to speculation that Brock Lesnar may have left WWE or that he may be taking an extended break from the company. However, there has been no official word from WWE or Brock Lesnar himself on the situation.
The rumors began to circulate when it was reported that Brock Lesnar had removed all mention of WWE from his social media accounts. This led many to believe that Brock Lesnar was no longer under contract with WWE.
However, it should be noted that Brock Lesnar does not regularly update his social media accounts and it is not uncommon for him to go for long periods of time without mentioning WWE.
Brock Lesnar is also not scheduled to appear at any upcoming WWE live events or television tapings. This has led some to believe that Brock Lesnar may have quit WWE or that his contract with the company has expired.
However, it should be noted that Brock Lesnar is not a full-time wrestler and only appears on WWE programming sporadically. It is not uncommon for Brock Lesnar to take extended breaks from WWE and he has done so in the past.
The last time we saw Brock Lesnar in a WWE ring was at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia last November when he successfully defended his Universal Championship against Braun Strowman. Since then, there have been no sightings of Brock Lesnar on WWE programming leading many to believe he has left the company or taken an extended break
The “WWE Raw”
Brock Lesnar, WWE Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion, made a suprise return to WWE television on the Jan. 7, 2020 episode of “Raw.” This was Lesnar’s first appearance on WWE programming since losing the WWE Universal Championship to Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 in April 2017.
While it is unclear if Lesnar has signed a new contract with WWE, his return indicates that he is at least interested in working with the company again. It is also possible that Lesnar simply made a one-time appearance on “Raw” in order to promote his upcoming match against Cain Velasquez at UFC 246 on Jan. 18.
Lesnar’s return came just one day after it was revealed that WWE had signed former UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture to a Legends contract. Couture, who is a close friend of Lesnar’s, is expected to induct Lesnar into the UFC Hall of Fame in July 2020.
