WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown, also referred to as SmackDown Live or simply SmackDown, is a professional wrestling television program that debuted on April 29, 1999. The show’s name is also used to refer to the SmackDown brand, in which WWE employees are assigned to work and perform on that program; the other programs and brands currently being Raw and NXT. SmackDown is currently broadcast live on Tuesday nights at 8 pm ET on the Fox network. The show features all of the traditional professional wrestling match types seen on Raw and other WWE programming; including tag team, singles, triple threat, fatal four-way, handicap matches, as well as matches contested under special rules (such as hardcore matches, ladder matches, ironman matches, etc.).

WWE Main Event

WWE Main Event is a professional wrestling television program produced by WWE that originally aired on Ion Television in the United States, then the WWE Network. It debuted on October 3, 2012 and ended its run on April 2, 2014. The show featured mid-to-lower card wrestlers from WWE’s main roster.[1]

The show was replaced in 2014 by WWE Superstars, which also featured main roster wrestlers, albeit exclusively from the SmackDown brand.
