United States Championship Match
The United States Championship is a professional wrestling championship contested in WWE on the Raw brand. It was originally established as the WWE United States Championship on July 23, 2003, after WWE split its roster into two brands, Raw and SmackDown!, as a result of the concerns that come along with World Title unification. The title has been defended on both brands throughout its history. The current champion is Apollo Crews, who is in his first reign. He defeated Andrade to win the title at Extreme Rules on July 19, 2020.
Since its establishment in 2003, there have been a total of 50 different championship reigns among 31 wrestlers. John Cena has the most reigns with five. Brock Lesnar has had four reigns; he and Samoa Joe are tied for second most behind Cena. AJ Styles has had the longest individual reign at 337 days; he also holds the record for the longest combined reign at 654 days (co-held with Cena). At 523 days, Styles’ second reign is also the second longest combined reign. Lesnar’s first reign of 504 days is the third longest combined as well as being the longest single reign. Sasha Banks holds the record for shortest reigning champion at 22 hours; this was due to WWE taking away her title due to Banks being injured prior to her scheduled title defense against Alexa Bliss at Great Balls of Fire on July 9, 2017 (the event was then renamed simply to “Battleground”).
WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
During the kickoff show, Akam and Rezar of The Authors of Pain will defend their WWE Raw Tag Team Championships against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows of The Good Brothers in a No Holds Barred Match.

WWE Summerslam Predictions
WWE Summerslam is an annual professional wrestling event produced by WWE. It is the second biggest event of the year after WrestleMania, and is considered one of the “Big Four” pay-per-view events along with WrestleMania, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble. This year’s event will take place on August 11th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Main Event
This year’s WWE Summerslam is sure to be a can’t-miss event, with plenty of top matches on the card. In the main event, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will put his title on the line against Roman Reigns. This will be a rematch of last year’s Summerslam main event, which saw Lesnar retain his title in a controversial finish.
Reigns is looking for redemption this year, and he will have his work cut out for him against The Beast Incarnate. Lesnar has been dominating the WWE ever since he returned at WrestleMania 34, and he doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon. Can Reigns dethrone Lesnar, or will The Beast continue his reign of terror? Tune in to find out!
Co-Main Event
In the Co-Main Event, we have WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar taking on The Rock. This will be a rematch from their exceptional match at WrestleMania 29. Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominant forces in WWE today, and The Rock is one of the most popular Superstars of all time. This should be an incredible match, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
Tag Team Turmoil Match
This could potentially be one of the most chaotic and unpredictable matches on the card. WWE has done a good job of mixing up the tag team division as of late and there are several possible outcomes for this match. The Usos seem to be the frontrunners going into Summerslam, but don’t count out The New Day or The Revival. This could be a show-stealing match with a number of surprise eliminations.
United States Championship Match
The United States Championship will be on the line at WWE Summerslam when AJ Styles puts the title on the line against Kevin Owens. This will be a rematch from their Extreme Rules match which AJ won to become the new United States Champion.
AJ Styles is one of the best wrestlers in WWE today and is a former WWE Champion. He has held the United States Championship before and is looking to add another reign to his resume. Kevin Owens is a former Universal Champion and is a former Intercontinental Champion. He is a multiple time United States Champion and is looking to add another title to his collection.
This match could go either way, but I think AJ Styles will retain his United States Championship at WWE Summerslam.
WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
This Sunday at WWE Summerslam, the WWE Cruiserweight Championship will be on the line in a triple threat match between current champion Drew Gulak, former champion Tony Nese, and former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Aleister Black.
Prediction: Tony Nese
Reasoning: Nese has been on a roll as of late, and a win against Gulak and Black would cement him as one of the top stars in the Cruiserweight division.
