Between 1919 and 1920, the Packers competed against other semi-pro clubs from around Wisconsin and the Midwest, before joining the American Professional Football Association (APFA), organized by Lambeau and fellow Green Bay athletic club member AC Brown. However, these early years would result in two of only four losing seasons for the Packers during their entire time as an APFA/NFL franchise.
