The National Football League announced their Hall of Fame Class of 2020 on Saturday night. Who are the seven new members?

Jerry Rice

The NFL Hall of Fame Class of 2020 has been announced, and it is headlined by one of the greatest wide receivers of all time: Jerry Rice. Rice played 20 seasons in the NFL, most notably with the San Francisco 49ers, and he is the league’s all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown catches. He was a first-team All-Pro selection 12 times and was named to the NFL’s 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. He is a deserving inductee to the Hall of Fame and will surely go down as one of the greatest players in NFL history.

His playing career

Jerry Lee Rice (born October 13, 1962) is a former American football wide receiver who played his entire 20-year career with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He is widely regarded as the greatest wide receiver in NFL history and among the greatest players in NFL history.

During his 20 years with the 49ers, Rice helped deliver three Super Bowl championships and became the franchise’s all-time leader in most receiving categories during that span. He is currently ranked first across the NFL in several statistical categories, including receptions (1,549), touchdown receptions (197), and receiving yards (22,895). In 1999, The Sporting News listed Rice second behind Jim Brown on its list of “Football’s 100 Greatest Players”. In 2010, he was ranked number one by NFL Network’s “The Top 100: 2010 Re-Rank”. In 2010, Rice was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Emmitt Smith

Emmitt Smith is a former professional American football player who was a running back for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL) for fifteen seasons. Smith is the NFL’s all-time rushing leader, a three-time Super Bowl champion, and was the league MVP in 1993. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.

His playing career

Emmitt Smith played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1990 to 2002. During that time, he became the NFL’s all-time rushing leader, a feat he still holds today. He was also a three-time Super Bowl champion and was named the league’s MVP in 1993. After his retirement from football, Smith pursued a career in television, appearing on both reality shows and NFL broadcast teams. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.

Emmitt James Smith III (born May 15, 1969) is a former American football running back who is the NFL’s all-time leader in rushing yards. He played fifteen seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals. A three-time Super Bowl champion with the Cowboys, Smith is also the league’s all-time rushing touchdowns leader.

In his rookie year, Emmitt Smith set a then-Cowboys rookie record by rushing for 937 yards. He broke that record in his second season with 1,563 yards; a total which stood as a Cowboys record until 2006, when it was surpassed by Julius Jones’ 1,815 yards. In 1992 he broke Walter Payton’s NFL single-season rushing record by gaining 1,773 yards on 377 carries (4.7 ypc). He was named the NFL Player of the Year and became only the second running back to win both that award and the Super Bowl in the same season, after Terry Bradshaw accomplished that feat in 1978 with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tim Brown

Tim Brown is a former wide receiver who played in the NFL for 17 seasons. He was a 9-time Pro Bowler and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.

His playing career

Tim Brown was born on July 22, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, where he was a standout athlete in both football and track. Brown played college football at Notre Dame, where he was a two-time All-American and won the Heisman Trophy in 1987. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Raiders with the 6th overall pick in the 1988 NFL Draft.

Brown spent 16 seasons with the Raiders, from 1988 to 2003. He was selected to nine Pro Bowls and was named First-Team All-Pro four times. He holds the Raiders franchise records for most career receptions (1,094), receiving yards (14,934), and receiving touchdowns (100). Brown also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004, before retiring following that season.

In his 17 NFL seasons, Brown totaled 1,094 receptions for 14,934 yards and 100 touchdowns. He also had 2,513 punt return yards and four punt return touchdowns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
