The Rams began play as the Cleveland Rams, based in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1936; following that season’s merger of a competing league into what became the NFL, they became part of a unique three-team regional division (with teams from Pittsburgh and Cincinnati), which survived for one year only before all three teams were reassigned to other divisions for 1937. In 1941 and 1945–1946, about half of their games were broadcast on Mutual Radio Network flagship station WHK in Cleveland; Mutual also carried other NFL games as well during this time.

The Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) North division. It is the third-oldest franchise in the NFL, dating back to 1919, and is the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team based in the United States. Home games have been played at Lambeau Field since 1957.

The Packers are the last of the “small town teams” which were common in the NFL during the league’s early days of 1922 and 1923. Founded in 1919 by Earl “Curly” Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun, the franchise traces its lineage to other semi-professional teams in Green Bay dating back to 1896. Between 1919 and 1920, the Packers competed against other semi-pro clubs from around Wisconsin and Michigan, before joining local Pro Football in 1921. They began operation as a semi-pro football team on August 11, 1919. The club was founded by Lambeau and Calhoun on September 17, 1919, though they were originally againstjoining a professional football league and intended to operate solely as an amateur organization; however they ran into financial trouble when they could not garner enough funds for an end of season championship game against their main rivals: The American Professionals Football Association Champions Hammond Pros out of Hammond Indiana who would go on change there name to become members of what would eventually be called the National Football League or for short: The NFL we know today beginning with it’s inaugural season in 1920 In order for their team to be competitive among other professional teams they had no choice but to turn proffesional just like Hammond had done earlier that year but after only two games into their first season as an actual NFL organization both against future Hall of Fame indutees George Halas’s Chicago Bears who at that time were known as The Decatur Staleys & Curly Lambeaus Green Bay Packers it was quite clear that these two teams would face eachother for NFL supremacy for many seasons to come as both teams would go onto have incredible rivalrys & meet eachother numerous times throughout NFL history including several championship meetings most notably their very first ever playoff meeting which resulted in one of proffesional sports most memorable comebacks when trailing by 20 points with only 12 minutes left oin regulation time & eventualy going on to win 21-17 enroute to capturing their very first ever NFL Championship
Fast forward nearly six decades later both teams have captured 31 Championships apiece which is more championships then any other team in either conference has won & more then twice as much as any other team has won period giving this special little NFC North battle not only more meaning then just your average game but making it one of if not thee most heated & enjoyed rivalrys not just in all of football but all of professional sports
