A Baseball Cut In Half?

A Baseball Cut In Half? Why would anyone do that? We take a look at the science behind this viral video.
A baseball is cut in half.
One half of the baseball is placed on a table in front of you. The other half is placed on the ground next to the table. You are asked to observe the two halves of the baseball for a moment.
What do you see?
The baseball on the ground is cut in half horizontally. The top half of the baseball is on the ground, and the bottom half is on the table in front of you. The two halves are not connected to each other.
The baseball on the table is cut in half vertically. The left half of the baseball is on the table, and the right half is on the ground next to the table. The two halves are not connected to each other.
The two halves are then placed on a table.
One half of the baseball is placed on the table with the cut side up. The other half is placed cut side down on top of the first half. The two halves are now held together by surface tension.
The two halves are then compared.
One half of the baseball is compared to a raw chicken egg. The other half is compared to a hard-boiled chicken egg.
The differences are noted.
If you took a MLB baseball and cut it in half, you would notice a few differences between the two halves. The bottom half, or the part closest to the ground would be darker than the top half. This is due to the fact that it is exposed to more dirt and grass than the upper half. The upper half would also be more smooth than the bottom half because it comes into contact with less dirt and grass. The stitching on a baseball is also different depending on which half you are looking at. The bottom half of the ball has red stitching while the top half has blue stitching. This is because when a ball is thrown, it rotates so that the bottom half is facing forward. This helps the pitcher see where he is throwing the ball and also makes it easier for the catcher to catch it.
