-Results of the past year’s tournaments
-Previous US Open participation
-Past Grand Slam tournament participation
-Overall professional playing experience
-Special circumstances, e.g., recent injury
You must have played in 3 tournaments the year of the tournament
You must have played in 3 tournaments the year of the tournament, and have reached a certain rank to be able to apply for the US Open Tennis Tournament.

The pre-qualifying tournament is a 256-player draw that takes place over three rounds. The dates for the pre-qualifying tournament are typically released in early August.

The main tournament is a 128-person draw played over 2 weeks. The first week consists of 7 rounds of 16, 8 quarterfinals, 4 semifinals, and 2 finals. The second week consists of the same 7 rounds of 16, but with different opponents.
If you win 3 matches in the qualifying tournament, you make it into the US Open
In order to play in the US Open, you must first go through a qualifying tournament. This is a separate tournament that is held in late August, a few weeks before the main event. To enter, you must first get past the pre-qualifying tournament, which is only open to US citizens. After that, you will need to win 3 matches in the qualifying tournament in order to make it into the US Open.
