Introduction

The Nes Baseball organization will be holding tryouts for the 2022 season on Saturday, August 14th at the Canes Baseball Academy in Cary, NC. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM and tryouts will start promptly at 9:00 AM. The tryout process will include a series of drills designed to evaluate each player’s abilities in hitting, fielding, pitching, and base-running.

What to expect

Canes baseball will be holding tryouts for their 2022 season in early August. The tryouts will be open to all High School aged students who are interested in playing competitive baseball

Those who are interested in trying out for the team should expect to participate in a series of drills and scrimmages. The coaches will be looking for players who demonstrate athleticism, sportsmanship, and a good work ethic.

Players who make the team can expect to practice four times per week and play around 40 games during the season. The games will mostly be played on weekends, but there may be some Day Games as well.

The process

The process of becoming a Canes baseball player starts with a tryout. All players who wish to be considered for the 2022 season must attend a tryout.

Tryouts will be held on Saturday, August 14th and Sunday, August 15th at the Canes Baseball Field Check-in will begin at 8:00am each day, with tryouts starting promptly at 9:00am.

Players should bring their own baseball equipment including a bat, glove, helmet, cleats, etc. Catchers should also bring their own gear.

Players will be run through a series of drills to evaluate their skills. These drills will include hitting, fielding, throwing, and Base running At the conclusion of the tryouts, players will be evaluated by the Coaching Staff and select players will be invited to join the team.

The Canes are a travel baseball organization based in New Jersey. We are looking for players that will be 13U during the 2022 season. Tryouts will be held on October 1, 2020 at 10am at our facility in Neptune, NJ. Please bring your own baseball gear
