1) Mater Dei HS (Santa Ana, CA): The defending CIF champions return most of their key contributors from last year’s title-winning team The Monarchs will be led by a strong pitching staff, led by Oregon State commit Kingsley Division, as well as a deep and experienced lineup.
2) IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL): The nation’s top prep school team is loaded with talent, led by pitcher Hunter Barco and shortstop Jaden Hill The Ascenders will be a tough out all season long
3) Archbishop McCarthy HS (Southwest Ranches, FL): The Mavericks are led by Miami commit Adrian Del Castillo, who is one of the best High School catchers in the country. Archbishop McCarthy also has a solid pitching staff, fronted by Florida State commit Alec Menendez.
4) Blessed Trinity HS (Roswell, GA): The Titans have one of the best players in the country in Vanderbilt commit Austinvern bermudez, as well as a balanced team that can hit and pitch with the best of them.
5) windward School (Los Angeles CA): The Wildcats are led by uncommitted pitcher Cole Winn, who is one of the best high school arms in the country. Windward also has a deep lineup that can score runs in bunches.
6) JSerra Catholic HS (San Juan Capistrano, CA): The Lions are another team that is loaded with talent, led by UCLA commit Jeren Kendall and Stanford commit Tristan Beck. JSerra will be a tough out all season long.
7) AramarkVanderbilt high school (Nashville, TN): The Commodores are led by uncommitted pitcher Nolan Kingham, who is one of the best high school pitchers in the country. Vanderbilt also has a deep lineup that can score runs in bunches.
8) Harvard-Westlake School (Studio City, CA): The Wolverines are another team that is loaded with talent, led by Stanford commit Kris Bubic and UCLA commits Chase Strumpf and Mikey Diekroeger. Harvard-Westlake will be a tough out all season long.
9) De La Salle HS (Concord, CA): The Spartans return most of their key contributors from last year’s team that made it to the CIF semifinals. De La Salle will be led by uncommitted pitcher Brendan Beck and Cal commit Andrew Vaughn.
10) Orange Lutheran HS (Orange, CA): The Lancers are another team that is loaded with talent, led by USC commit David Clawson and UCLA commits Jeremy Ydens and Heston Kjerstad. Orange Lutheran will be a tough out all season long.

2) San Francisco Giants The Giants have a lot of young power and some great pitching. They should be able to compete for a playoff spot this year.
3) Chicago Cubs The Cubs have been one of the best teams in baseball over the past few years. They have a great young core of players and should be able to compete for a championship this year.
4) Cleveland Indians The Indians are another team that has a lot of young talent. They should be able to contend for a playoff spot this year.
5) Washington Nationals The Nationals have one of the best rosters in baseball. They should be able to win their division and contend for a World Series title this year.
6) Houston Astros The Astros have a lot of young talent and they should be able to contend for a playoff spot this year.
7) Los Angeles Dodgers The Dodgers are another team with a lot of young talent. They should be able to win their division and contend for a World Series title this year.

4) Serra (12-5, 7-2 in league)
Serra has put together an impressive season to date. The team is 12-5 overall and 7-2 in league play. The squad’s pitching staff has been dominant, posting a 1.78 ERA and 0.92 WHIP. The bats have also been productive, averaging 6.4 runs per game. Serra looks like a contender in Division I this season.

5) Orange Lutheran After an undefeated regular season the Lancers had a tough postseason, losing to JSerra in the Trinity League tournament semifinals and then falling to Huntington Beach in the Cif Southern Section Division 1 quarterfinals. But with Cif Southern Section Pitcher of the Year Mitch Knox returning, along with talented Position players such as Cole Roederer, Hunter Howen and Jacob Matlock, Orange Lutheran should be in the mix for a title run next season.

2017 Record: 20-7
The San Dimas Saints might have one of the more talented rosters in the region. They have a solid nucleus of returners that saw significant playing time last season. The Saints will look to their senior leadership to help carry them to success this season.

7) La Costa Canyon (26-5) – The Mavericks had a great season, losing only five games. They have a lot of potential and could be a top team next year.
8) Coronado (24-6) – The Islanders had a very successful season only losing six games. They are a top team and could be even better next year.
9) Jesuit (23-7) – The Marauders had a great season, only losing seven games. They have a lot of potential and could be a top team next year.
10) San Ramon Valley (21-9) – The Wolves had a Successful Season only losing nine games. They are a Top Team and could improve next year.
