Under the leadership of Coach Dave Meyers the Longwood Lancers have established themselves as a baseball powerhouse. In his nine seasons at the helm,Coach Meyers has compiled a record of 624-178-3, good for a .779 winning percentage. His teams have won six conference championships and made seven trips to the NCAA Division II Baseball Tournament including two trips to the College World Series
During Coach Meyers’ tenure, the Lancers have had 38 players named to All-Conference teams, 12 named NFCA All-Americans and one named NAIA Player of the Year. In addition, 23 of Coach Meyers’ players have gone on to play professional baseball
