St. John’s Travel Hockey: Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Season

The St. John’s Travel Hockey Team will be holding tryouts for the Fall/Winter 2021-2022 season. The team is open to Boys and Girls ages 10-18 who are looking for a competitive travel Hockey Experience Tryouts will be held at the Clovelly arena on September 1st, 2021. Travel Hockey in St. John’s: Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Season

The St. John’s travel hockey program is designed for players who want to compete at a higher level than recreational hockey. Our teams play in the Northern California amateur hockey Association (NCAHA) and the San Jose Sharks Fall League. Our program is open to all players in the U12, U14, U16, and U18 age divisions.

We are committed to providing a positive and rewarding experience for all of our players, whether they are new to travel hockey or have been playing for years. We offer a competitive environment where players can develop their skills and knowledge of the game. Our goal is to help each player reach their potential as a hockey player and as a person.

St. John’s Travel Hockey teams Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Season

The St. John’s Travel hockey teams will be starting their Fall/Winter 2021-2022 season in the coming months. The teams will be competing in various tournaments and leagues throughout the season.

St. John’s Travel Hockey League Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Season

The St. John’s Travel Hockey League (STJTHL) is excited to offer a travel hockey season for the 2021-2022 winter season! The STJTHL is open to all youth Hockey Players ages 5-18 who reside in St. John’s County. The league will offer two divisions of play: Division 1 (ages 5-8) and Division 2 (ages 9-12).

Players will be placed on teams according to their age and skill level. Each team will play a total of 20 games, 10 home and 10 away. Games will be played on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons at the Ice Den in St. Augustine. The season will start in early November and run through early March.

The registration fee for the season is $300 per player. This fee includes the cost of ice time, referee fees, insurance, and a team jersey. A $50 deposit is required at the time of registration; the balance is due by October 15th.

St. John’s Travel hockey training Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Season

The St. John’s Travel hockey training program is open to Mite, Squirt, PeeWee, and Bantam level players who are looking to take their game to the next level. Our skilled coaches will help develop your player’s skating, stick-handling, passing, and shooting skills. The Fall/Winter 2021-2022 season runs from September 1st – March 31st. Please note that all dates and times are subject to change.

Mite (8U):

– Tuesdays from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM at AZ Ice Gilbert
– Thursdays from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM at AZ Ice Gilbert

Squirt (10U):

– Tuesdays from 6:15 PM – 7:15 PM at AZ Ice Gilbert
– Thursdays from 6:15 PM – 7:15 PM at AZ Ice Gilbert
– Saturdays from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM at AZ Ice Gilbert

PeeWee (12U):

– Tuesdays from 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM at AZ Ice Gilbert
– Thursdays from 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM at AZ Ice Gilbert
– Saturdays from 9:45 AM – 10:45 AM at AZ Ice Gilbert

St. John’s Travel hockey skills Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Season

St. John’s Travel Hockey is pleased to announce our skills sessions for the Fall/Winter 2021-2022 season. Our skills sessions are open to all Mite, Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam travel hockey players who will be rostered on a St. John’s travel team for the upcoming season

These skills sessions will be held on Sundays at the Ice Den South Shore in Hingham, MA and will run from September 12th, 2021 through March 20th, 2022. There will be no skills sessions held during Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas break, or February vacation.

The cost of the skills sessions is $325 per player and includes 16 hours of on-ice instruction led by our professional Coaching Staff Space is limited so please register early!

The St. John’s Travel hockey drills Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Season include basic and advanced skating, stick handling, passing and shooting drills The St. John’s Travel Hockey Drills are designed for players of all ages and skill levels who want to improve their game.

St. John’s Travel Hockey Tips: Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Season

Season start date
The 2021-2022 season will start on September 1st, 2021.

Required paperwork:
Each player must have a valid USA Hockey membership, which can be obtained by visiting www.usahockeyregistration.com. In addition, each player must submit a copy of their birth certificate to the team manager.

Tryouts:
All players interested in trying out for the St. John’s travel Hockey Team must attend all scheduled tryout sessions. Tryouts will be held in early September, and the exact dates and times will be announced closer to the start of the season. Players who are not able to attend all tryout sessions may still be considered for the team on a case-by-case basis.

Team roster:
The final team roster will be announced by October 1st, 2021.

As the colder weather approaches, it’s time to start thinking about your travel hockey gear for the upcoming season You’ll want to make sure you have everything you need to keep you warm and dry on the ice, whether you’re Playing in a tournament or just practice.

Here’s a list of essential travel hockey gear for the Fall/Winter 2021-2022 season:

-Skates: You’ll need a good pair of skates that fit well and offer good support. Be sure to get them sharpened before the season starts
-Helmet: A properly fitting helmet is essential for safety on the ice.
--shoulder pads Shoulder pads help protect you from hard hits and falls.
--elbow pads Elbow Pads help protect your elbows from getting scraped up or hit by the puck.
--hockey gloves hockey gloves will keep your hands warm and help you grip your stick.
-Stick: You’ll need a good hockey stick that is the correct size for your height and strength.
-Pants: Hockey pants offer protection from falls and hits, and they also help keep you warm on the ice.
--Hockey socks Hockey Socks are worn over your shin pads and help keep them in place. They also offer some additional warmth.
--shin pads Shin pads protect your shins from getting hit by pucks or sticks.
