The Atlanta native released her debut album, Run & Tell Your Mama, in 2017 shortly after she turned 20. The record put her on the map as a voice to watch in the country music world.

Now, two years later, she’s gearing up to release her second album,. While the record is still very much a work in progress, Webster says she’s aiming for a sound that’s a little more polished than her debut.

“I want it to be a little bit more traditionally arranged,” she says. “I want there to be some fiddle and steel guitar.”

In the meantime, Webster is keeping busy with touring and writing for other artists. She recently co-wrote a song with Kacey Musgraves that will appear on Musgraves’ forthcoming album,. And she’s also working on material for her own next project.

As for what’s next after that? Webster says she’s open to anything — including marriage and motherhood.

“I feel like I’m at that age now where people are getting married and having babies,” she says. “It definitely doesn’t seem like something that’s out of reach.”
