Eastern Conference
The NBA is split into two conferences, the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. There are 15 teams in each conference. The teams in the Eastern Conference are: the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards.
Atlantic Division
The Atlantic Division is one of the three divisions in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). It consists of five teams located in the northeastern United States: the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Toronto Raptors.
Central Division
The Central Division is one of the three divisions in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams, located in the Midwestern United States: the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, and Milwaukee Bucks.
Since the NBA’s expansion into Canada, the Central Division has been home to two Canadian teams: the Toronto Raptors (who were previously in the East’s Atlantic Division) and the Ottawa Senators (who played in the West’s Central Division before moving to Toronto). The Raptors left for the East’s Atlantic Division in 2019.
Southeast Division
The Southeast Division is a division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams: the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards.
The Southeast Division was formed in 2004 as a result of the NBA’s realignment into six divisions. At that time, the Charlotte Hornets were placed in the newly created division. The Southeast Division is also notable for being the only division in NBA history in which all of its members have won an NBA championship.

The Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of two conferences that makes up the league, the other being the Eastern Conference. Current Western Conference teams include the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, and Utah Jazz.
Southwest Division
The Southwest Division is a division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). It consists of five teams, two from Texas, two from Oklahoma, and one from Louisiana.
The division was created at the start of the 2004-05 NBA season, when the league realigned itself into six divisions of five teams each. Its predecessor was the Midwest Division, which contained teams from Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.
