A new baseball movie is coming out soon, and it looks like it could be great! The film, titled “42”, is based on the true story of Jackie Robinson, the first African American to play in Major League Baseball. The movie stars Chadwick Boseman as Robinson, and Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey, the man who signed Robinson to the Brooklyn Dodgers.

What is the movie about?

The movie is about a young man, Henry Rowengartner, who dreams of playing baseball like his hero, Cubs third baseman Ron Santo. When an injury forces Santo to retire, Henry steps in and takes his place.

Although he is not a very talented player, Henry’s “arm like a rocket” quickly makes him a star. The Cubs start winning and make it all the way to the playoffs. But can Henry keep up his act when the pressure is on?

The movie was released in 1993 and was directed by John Badham. It stars Thomas Ian Nicholas, Amy Morton, Gary Busey, and Margaret Whitton.
