AOP in WWE

AOP in WWE is a tag team who are the current WWE Raw Tag Team Champions. They consist of Akam and Rezar, who are managed by Paul Heyman. AOP made their debut on the October 22, 2018 episode of Raw, and have been impressing ever since.

AOP’s Debut

On the October 8, 2018 episode of Raw, Akam and Rezar made their main roster debut as a tag team, attacking Titus Worldwide (Apollo Crews and Titus O’Neil) during a tag team match. The following week, they were given the name AOP (Authors of Pain), with Paul Ellering as their manager.

At the Survivor Series pay-per-view event, AOP competed in a 5-on-5 tag team elimination match representing Raw against SmackDown (The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro), The New Day (Xavier Woods and Big E), The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso), and The Colóns (Primo Colón and Epico Colón)), which Team Raw won after last eliminating Team SmackDown.

AOP’s First Title Win

On the November 12 episode of Raw, AOP defeated The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) to win the Raw Tag Team Championship for the first time, after Akam pinned Cesaro following a brainbuster/spinebuster double-team move. This made them the first team from NXT to win a championship on the main roster, as well as the first African-born WWE Tag Team Champions. At Survivor Series, AOP defeated The Usos in a non-title match. On the December 3 episode of Raw, AOP retained their titles against The Bar in a steel cage match after Rollins interfered and caused Sheamus to be pinned by Reigns.

AOP’s Second Title Win

On the October 28 episode of Raw, AOP defeated The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) to win the Raw Tag Team Championship for the second time, becoming two-time champions in the process. This made them the only team to have held the NXT, Raw, and SmackDown Tag Team Championships, as well as making them the fourth team overall to have won all three tag team titles.

After WWE

So, you’ve decided you want to leave WWE. Whether you’ve been released, quit, or simply retired, there are a few things you should do before moving on to the next phase of your career. In this article, we’ll discuss what you need to do after WWE.

AOP’s Return

The Wyatt Family’s return at WWE Backlash was one of the most shocking moments in recent WWE history. Few could have predicted that Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan would invade the ring and lay waste to The New Day, setting up a match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at Extreme Rules.

However, Bray Wyatt’s recent popularity on social media may have tipped WWE off to the fact that something was brewing with The Wyatt Family. On May 10, just days before WWE Backlash, Bray Wyatt posted a cryptic message on Twitter that simply read “6 days.”

This led many to believe that something was going on with The Wyatt Family, and sure enough, they returned at Backlash and are now set to challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at Extreme Rules.

AOP’s Final Title Win

After WWE’s main event at AOP’s house show in Stafford, Virginia on September 15, 2018, AOP won the WWE Tag Team Championship for the third time by defeating The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro). This would be their final title reign together as a team, as Akam was sidelined with an injury shortly afterwards and Rezar became a singles competitor.
