10 best Boba Fett moments

1. Boba Fett earns his armor
In The Empire Strikes Back, we see an unhelmeted Boba Fett for the first time as he’s being brought onto the Slave I by Darth Vader. It’s revealed that he was an unaltered clone of Jango Fett, and was trained by his “father” to be a bounty hunter. His first big score comes when he captures Han Solo in the carbon freezing chamber on Bespin.

2. The Return of the Jedi slave outfit
In Return of the Jedi, we see Boba Fett without his helmet for the second time, and it turns out he’s been working for Jabba the Hutt this whole time. He’s wearing a modified version of his father’s Mandalorian armor, which now includes a brown cape and a truly ridiculous-looking helmet with moveable eye plates. This is the outfit that many people think of when they think of Boba Fett.

3. The Battle of Gall
The Expanded Universe novel Splinter of the Mind’s Eye introduces us to Boba Fett in a worked-for-hire capacity as he tracks down Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa on the planet Gall after they crash-land there. In the ensuing battle, Leia manages to slice open his suit with her lightsaber, but Luke is captured and taken to a nearby city to be sold as a gladiator.

4. The Battle of Malastare Narrows
In another Expanded Universe novel, X-Wing: Rogue Squadron, we see Boba Fett teaming up with fellow bounty hunters Dengar and IG-88 to take down Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles during the Battle of Malastare Narrows. It’s during this battle that Dengar famously gives Luke the scar on his face that would later be known as “Darth Maul’s mark.”

5. Tracking down Han Solo
The most infamous moment in all of Star Wars comes in Return of the Jedi when, after Solo is frozen in carbonite and delivered to Jabba the Hutt, we see Boba Fett carrying him away on his back like a piece of luggage. This one scene cemented Boba Fett’s status as one of cinema’s coolest characters, even though he only says four words in all three movies combined: “He’s no good to me dead.”

6 .The Sarlacc pit
Of course, Boba Fett meets his end in Return of the Jedi when he accidentally steps on Han Solo’s discarded blaster rifle and falls into the Sarlacc pit on Tatooine. He spends centuries slowly being digested before finally being freed by none other than Han Solo and Chewbacca in an episode of The Clone Wars animated series. Even in death, Boba Fett remains cool as ice.

7 .The Mando Mercenaries
In an episode of The Clone Wars animated series, we seeBoba Fett teaming up with fellow Mandalorian mercenaries Mereel and Kom’rk to take down a group …
