How Did They Do It?
FSU Baseball had an incredible game today, and they won! They worked hard as a team and never gave up. Let’s take a look at how they did it.
Look at the highlights
In a close game, the Seminoles were able to squeak out a victory against the rival University of Florida Gators. The game was won in the bottom of the ninth inning, when freshman right fielder Robby Martin hit a walk-off home run. The Seminoles had been down by one run going into the inning, but they were able to rally and come out on top. It was a great victory for the team, and they will be looking to build on it as they head into the rest of the season.
See what the commentators are saying
ESPN analysts Curt Schilling and Orel Hershiser think the Florida State Seminoles can make a deep run in the College World Series.
“They’re a surgical team,” Schilling said. “They don’t have a ton of guys that are going to overwhelm you with stuff, but they have a lot of guys that know how to pitch, know how to get ahead, mix their pitches well. When you look at their lineup 1 through 9, there’s not an easy out in there.”
Hershiser was equally impressed with the Seminoles.
“What I like about them is they don’t give away at-bats,” he said. “Every single player in their lineup is a tough out. They work the count, they make the pitchers work, they make mistakes and they capitalize on them. They’re going to be fun to watch.”
