LSU baseball had a fantastic game last night against Alabama. They were trailing the whole game but came back to win in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The team

The 2019 LSU Tigers baseball team represents Louisiana State University in the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Tigers play their home games at Alex Box Stadium on campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They are currently coached by Paul Mainieri.

The game

The LSU baseball team took on the Florida State Seminoles in the opening game of the College World Series on Saturday. The Tigers dominated from start to finish, winning 12-4.

It was a complete team effort for LSU, as every player contributed in some way to the victory. Andrew Stevenson led the way offensively, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Jared Poche’ was solid on the mound, pitching six innings and giving up just three runs.

The win was a big one for LSU, as it was their first ever College World Series victory. It also gave them some momentum heading into their next game against TCU on Monday.

As of the end of the 2019 season, LSU has appeared in 28 NCAA Tournaments, with 27 appearances since 1975; they have not missed an appearance since 1986.[1] Of those 28 appearances, LSU has played in 19 College World Series, including five trips to the championship game with four titles, and have had 25 batters and pitchers named as All-Americans.[2][3]

The lowlights

LSU had a disappointing showing this season, finishing with a record of 34-26. The lowlights of the season include losing series to Georgia, Florida, and Mississippi State. The Tigers also lost two out of three to Arkansas in the SEC tournament.
