Pitcher Nolan Ryan is the only player on the team who has played all 10 seasons with the Texas Rangers. He was originally drafted by the New York Mets in 1967 but was traded to the Angels in 1972. He played for the Angels until 1979 when he was signed as a free agent by the Rangers. Ryan retired from baseball in 1993.

Catcher Ivan Rodriguez also played all 10 seasons with the Rangers. He was originally signed by the Rangers as an amateur free agent in 1988 and made his major league debut in 1991. He was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 1999 but did not make his major league debut until 2007 with the Cincinnati Reds. Hamilton was traded to the Rangers that same year and helped lead them to their first World Series appearance in 2010.
