The Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team is a collegiate baseball team that represents Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. The team is a member of the Southeastern Conference and competes in NCAA Division I. They are currently coached by Tim Corbin. As of May 2017, Vanderbilt has appeared in seventeen NCAA tournaments, including seven College World Series appearances.

The Vanderbilt Commodores took on the Texas A&M Aggies on Tuesday afternoon in what promised to be an exciting game between two top-ranked college baseball teams. The Commodores entered the game ranked No. 1 in the nation, while the Aggies were ranked No. 4.
The game lived up to its billing, as the two teams traded scoring blows early on. The Aggies took a 3-1 lead in the top of the fourth inning, but Vanderbilt responded with three runs of their own in the bottom of the frame to take a 4-3 lead.
The score remained tight throughout the rest of the game, but Vanderbilt ultimately emerged victorious by a final score of 8-7. With the win, Vanderbilt improves to 27-5 on the season and remains atop the SEC standings.

Pavin Smith and Austin Martin both homered as part of a five-run first inning, and the Vanderbilt Commodores cruised to a 9-2 win over the Lipscomb Bisons on Tuesday night at First Tennessee Park.
The win was Vanderbilt’s third in a row, as well as its sixth straight over Lipscomb. The Commodores (24-14, 10-9 SEC) also evened the season series against the Bisons (26-12, 12-6 ASUN) at a game apiece.
Commodores starter Kumar Rocker (4-2) allowed two runs on 11 hits and two walks while striking out seven in six innings. He also had an RBI single in the second inning. Hayden Stone and Jeremy Parker combined to allow just one hit in three scoreless innings of relief.
