Early Life and Career

Born on May 30, 1987, in Eatonton, Georgia, Naomi was a dancer for the Orlando Magic basketball team before she became a professional wrestler. She began her wrestling career in 2009 with Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), and she later joined the WWE main roster in 2012.

Naomi has won several championships during her time with the WWE, including the WWE Divas Championship and the SmackDown Women’s Championship. She is also a two-time winner of the Slammy Award for “Match of the Year.”

Outside of her wrestling career, Naomi has appeared in several television shows and movies, including The Marine 4: Moving Target (2015) and Counting Cars (2016). She also runs a beauty and fashion blog called “Lovely In Lockdown.”

Professional Wrestling Career

Naomi signed with WWE in 2009 and was assigned to its developmental brand Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). She made her main roster debut on the SmackDown brand in January 2012. In October 2013, she won her first WWE Divas Championship, holding it for four months before being stripped of the title due to injury. She regained the title two months later and held it until April 2014, when she was again stripped of the title due to injury. Two months later, she won the title for the third time, before losing it in June 2014. Naomi then took an extended hiatus from WWE due to injury.

Naomi Williams (born May 30, 1987) is an American professional wrestler and model signed to WWE under the ring name Naomi, performing on the SmackDown brand.

In October 2009, she signed with Florida Championship Wrestling, WWE’s development territory, and was assigned to their developmental facility FCW Florida. In December 2010, she was announced as the winner of the third season of NXT. After successful defenses of her title against Aksana and Kaitlyn, she was crowned the inaugural FCW Divas Champion in September 2011. She made her first television main roster appearance on the November 21, 2011 episode of SmackDown as one of Vickie Guerrero’s hand-picked team of talent called Vickie’s Devils who were in a match against Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres but was unsuccessful in winning.

In July 2012, Naomi was drafted from SmackDown to Raw as part of the 2012 WWE draft but quickly returned to SmackDown a month later as part of the Superstars trade. In April 2013 at WrestleMania 29 pre-show, Naomi made her WrestleMania debut in a 14-Diva “Vickie Guerrero Invitational match” for the WWE Divas Championship which was won by Kaitlyn. Later that year in October at Hell in a Cell pre-show, she defeated Cameron in a singles match.

Women’s Championship pursuits

In early 2013, it was announced that Cameron, along with Naomi, would be competing in the inaugural WWE Divas Tag Team Invitation Tournament to determine the inaugural WWE Tag Team Champions of the newly created WWE tag team division. The team defeated Alicia Fox and Aksana in the first round, before losing to The Bella Twins (Brie Bella and Nikki Bella) in the semi-finals. After AJ Lee became WWE Divas Champion, she formed a tag team with Tamina Snuka known as “The Funkadactyls”, with the pair feuding with Cameron and Naomi throughout much of 2013. This led to a title match at Hell in a Cell, which The Funkadactyls won after Tamina pinned Naomi.

Relationship with Jimmy Uso

While Naomi was on the main roster, she began a relationship with fellow wrestler Jimmy Uso. The couple got engaged in October 2013, and married on January 10, 2014. They have two daughters: Wynter Pearl (born August 2016) and Jayla Faith (born December 2017).

In popular culture, Fliehr was widely referred to as Charlotte, the name of her character in WWE, from 2013 to 2019. In June 2019, it was announced that Fliehr would be credited as Charlotte Flair from that point onwards.

Fliehr’s first ever acting role was in the 2015 film The Resurrection of Gavin Stone alongside Brett Dalton, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and Shawn Michaels. In 2016, she had a guest starring role as a co-worker of Mark Henry on an episode of the USA Network show Psych. In January 2018, Fliehr made her acting debut on the Fox drama series Star playing a version of herself. Naomi Wwe has released four studio albums, one live album, and one compilation album. She has also released thirty-one singles, of which twelve have charted on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Her debut album, “In My Lifetime”, was released in 1986 and reached number two on the UK Albums Chart. It featured the singles “We Are Family”, “Ring My Bell”, and ” Sunshine Day”.

Her second album, “Touch”, was released in 1987 and reached number five on the UK Albums Chart. It included the singles “I Wanna Be Your Baby”, “Can’t Wait Another Minute”, and “If You Wanna Have Some Fun”.

Her third album, self-titled “Naomi Campbell”, was released in 1989 and reached number nine on the UK Albums Chart. It spawned the singles “Baby Love” and “Love and Tears”.

Her fourth album, 1996’s “Empress”, failed to match the commercial success of her previous albums, peaking at number forty-five on the UK Albums Chart. However, it did produce the single “Not Like Romance”.

In 2006, Campbell released a greatest hits album entitled “The Very Best of Naomi Campbell”. It featured remixed versions of some of her biggest hits as well as three new tracks: a cover of Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff”, a duet with Italian singer Tiziano Ferro titled “(All) The Lovers That Never Were”, and a solo track titled “(You Gotta Be) Free”.

In her wrestling career, Naomi has held the WWE Women’s Championship twice and the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship three times. She is a former two-time Funkadactyls Tag Team Champion with Cameron, as part of The Funkadactyls. She is also a former two-time NXT Women’s Champion, making her a five-time champion overall in WWE. Outside of WWE, Naomi is a former FCW Florida Divas Champion.
